I was bored and thinking about the game I was on before ff11, EQ, which I know the majority have never even heard of. It got me thinking about how so many people keep saying they want a pvp server, yet have never really even been in a full blown pvp environment. Most refuse to try wow, which is close to what I used to do, except its Horde VS Alliance.
I used to be a hardcore raider, which was amazing in EQ, but now Im more casual, and think its funny how WoW does a lot for the casual players, yet still enough for the more hardcore raider type to keep them interested as well. Its just things that ff11 is lacking that they should really take notes from past and present games. Although I refer to EQ in the past tense, its still active, now in its 10th year.
The way ff11 and even wow are going, I find it hard for either to go on for 10 years, but I know EQ really died off at the 7year mark when I quit :dontgetit But I cant help but wonder why people still play it, so I started going through old screenshots, have way too many and havent even been through half, thats what happens when you play a game for so long
It was a small community, and so of course, we all had enemies we constantly 'played' with
Once the game was near death, they merged all servers together, being that there was 4 pvp servers, they were put into 1, and chaos reigned
And thats 1 of me
What happens on a pvp server? Well I wanted the bag it drops more then they did I think
I was bored so, yeah lol. Just a warning to those who dont realize it, MMORPGS all eventually die, so just have fun while you can
