Did you have any +movement other than nin AF? Seems to me Gration is a good place to start for people looking to solo something. Extremely easy to get pop items and isn't that fast from what I remember kiting.

No, NIN has no other practical movement speed available.
He's actually a more stressful kite solo, but he doesn't resist like Genbu.
At times he was able to keep pace with my nin boots for a couple of swings, so he either has a wide swing radius or maybe +12% movement speed? At any rate, you don't want to let him run out of MP unless you plan on taking him down straight up, or you won't be able to stay ahead.

The only problem I encountered soloing this was the fact that it goes unclaimed too damn easily. If you're not careful, it will just give up and start running back.
