They care about money, oil, guns and, Jesus. Roughly in that order.
Jesus, guns, oil, money, Jesus, guns.
Fixed for Midwest accuracy.

A bit broad assumption but whatever (shrug), it has come down to blame the video games for everything deal lately. Jack Thompson is just full of hot best to ignore him. Ever since he's started waging his war against video games hes never made any progress. I can't think of one time he's managed to win a case. Adults would rather blame the game makers then fault the parents who let there under age children play these games. In the end its always up to the parents to teach them right from wrong.

Wonder if Rockstar can do anything to the faggot.
EDIT: Here's the video... Sound quality is pretty bad, had to turn my speakers up to max to hear it.

After seeing this, I'm going to make this short but sweet.... If you call a game a murder simulator you're a fucking idiot, using a contorler and a REAL gun are 100% total different things. Apprently these dumbfucks were dropped on their heads as children. Also with that logic I should be an Ace Lawyer now since I've played through all 4 Ace Attorney games.
Seriously... it's the parents fucking fault, if you're too much of a candy ass to sneak into your kids room when they're away to see what they're watching, playing, listening to, etc. Then yeah... this shit is gonna happen, but these "professionals" claim it's the developers fault, thank god the guy at CNN said something I was relieved to hear, he even admitted it's not all video game's fault, he said it's other media also, which is something I havne't heard anyone say in a LONG time.

You have fifty-four (54) days in which to stop the release of Bully on XBox.
Govern yourself accordingly.
Sincerely, Jack Thompson

Yeah...that's what 'simulator' means, and they have a point there. Rockstar spent $100 million to make this the most realistic game ever, and it's only going to get better from here. In a few years games are going to be like you're controlling a live action movie. Will you be so quick to dismiss it then, just because you push a button rather than pull a trigger to blow someone's brains out? Would you be outraged if instead of a controller, you used a light gun?
The real argument is: is this causing people to become more violent through desensitization, or is this a harmless way for people to work out their natural aggression and a killer instinct honed by evolution? How does someone know that footage of a helicopter crashing into a town square is a horrible, tragic event, but controlling a helicopter in a flight simulator and killing 150 sims is the height of hilarity? The answer is that it depends on the intelligence and experience of the person playing to differentiate the two. Consider the intelligence of the average adult and you have a pretty grim outlook. Make that an average kid; now are you starting to see the problem?
Yeah the game is M, but does anyone really card kids when they're buying these? Ultimately, of course, it's the parents' responsibility to monitor their kids. The problem is, the kids who would be most influenced by this violence & depravity are those raised by parents who are oblivious to what their kids are doing anyway.
The only thing to do, really, is to have mandatory ovum harvesting followed by sterilization upon puberty, and only allow those deemed acceptable to procreate. Bonus: that would solve all kinds of other problems we have as well. But then you have everyone arguing about what's "acceptable", and human rights this and playing god that, and it's all a giant pain in the dick, so let's just launch the missiles & get this over with, what do you say?

Protip: America doesn't care about ESRB ratings or Logic. They care about money, oil, guns and, Jesus. Roughly in that order. Americans are becoming mindless drones. They revel in tradition, and then bitch and moan when tradition doesn't work in the 21st century. Rather than leave tradition behind, they unsuccessfully try to change the world so that tradition still applies. Hitlery wants to ban vidyas outright. Obama, our ray of shining hope, actually wants parents to take responsibility for what their kids watch and play.
Bolded part of quote made me lol just a bit.
I don't suppose you got the memo that Barack "Hope-change-hope-change-walks-on-water" Obama is now Barack "Holy-shit-check-out-my-racist-pastor-and-my-ties-to-domestic-terrorism" Obama? Even his fuckin pastor said that Obama was your typical politician, who just says what the people want to hear. lol...
Young, unrealistic idealism is a helluva lot more scary to me then Jack Thompson.
