Here you go.

Terpsichore
A dagger named after an ancient goddess of dance. Upon first examination, it seems to differ in no particular way from conventional daggers. It bears a concealed button however, which, when depressed, causes the blade to trifurcate. This transforms the weapon into an effective defensive device, capable of entwining an enemy's blade and rendering it near ineffective, if not disarming the opponent entirely.




Might have to pick this up after Bst is complete.

looks like a pitchfork or some ugly thing, definitely not my favorite design for the new set of relics...have to wait to see what the stats are like and how the acquisition is like before i throw the idea out though.

Seeing as it has absolutely nothing in common with a pitchfork other than three "prongs" (which, in this case, are blades, and not even in the same configuration), I'm going to conclude that Nilene knows nothing about weapon design. >.>


I love the design, myself. It's not necessarily the pretties, but it does a nice job mixing pretty with practical. I do hope it has an animation when drawn that reflects the information in the description, though.

It'd be really nice if it could actually be used to disarm those enemies that do have weapons. I mean, there's enemies that can disarm us, so why not? However, it seems more likely that, if they impliment any aspect of the idea of it being able to disarm, they'd probably just give it "Add Effect: Attack Down" or something to that effect. +Parry would be nice for solo, I guess; but I'd prefer it didn't have it since that'd be a rather useless stat in the grand scheme of things for a Dancer, and there's so much better stuff it could have.

I look forward to seeing what the Terpsichore's stats will be and how hard or easy it'll be to obtain.

Well you're right, I don't make, use, or designs weapons, and I'm not looking at it as a weapon as far as "mixing pretty with practical".

However, aesthetically speaking, it's not as appealing as some of the other relics, and that's just my opinion.

Moving on, I agree with that being part of the stats since it was in the description about disarming enemies. It probably will have something like attack down or whatever. I wouldn't mind seeing something like absorb tp or some type of tp depletion since when we're disarm, we lose all tp.

Apparently its already been announced that the weapons will have weapons skills to go along with them. I got told when I asked in another thread.

According to the description, the weapon may have a small animation upon engaging an enemy:

So, I'm thinking maybe, just maybe, upon engaging the enemy, the dagger becomes three blades and when not engaged, it returns to a single-bladed weapon.

It's just a thought, but other than that, it's a nice weapon for DNC and I am actually interested in upgrading one.
