I have been avoiding KI like the plague, not really wanting to be involved in drama, but sometimes things happen that you need to let the server know about to avoid them from getting the same lousy treatment as yourself. So this is more of an informative post then an actual attempt at getting things resolved.

I joined Hellraisers Dynamis shell early this year on my quest to get a Valor Surcoat, it is the only piece I am interested in and I was prepared to put work into it.

When I joined I was 40+ points behind the other Paladins competing for the Surcoat and didn't think I would make great strives. However during the course of months up until now I made all but ONE run and elected to not spend points on anything but Surcoat. I quietly plugged away and built my points while the other Paladins flaked or maintained very low attendance rates. Eventually I worked myself up to 93 points and the next closest Paladin, Jontale, was now at 92 points, with a far longer membership date range then mine. He elected to lot on items as they dropped and spend points on them, and also elected to not show up to most events until he saw me creeping up on him. This is fine, he can do the attendance as he wants.

At this point it is important to keep in mind that our rules in Hellraisers are you select a primary and secondary lot and those lots you MUST spend points on, you were not allowed to lot on them during free lot, a point I clarified with this lolleadership to no ends.

Eventually due to his lotting and lack of perfect attendance I overtook Jontale by a point, but our rules state you must be winning by 2 or more points to solo lot an item. Ok fine, no problem.

Not this evenings run, or the run before, but last Saturday, this Jontale showed up for only the last 45 minutes of the run, but was given full credit, the same credit you give to the people who show up all run, when our rules expressly state that you must be there for an hour or more BEFORE the win to receive full credit. I argued the point with them to which they did nothing.

Now over these past months I have passed on many Paladin drops to keep my point standing and abided by the rules of the linkshell. Tonight both Dark Knight and Paladin items dropped in Bastok and Jontale passed DRK, then he lotted them on free lot. However, our leaders will not abide by their own rules, they are letting him have this item FREE of points, which will keep him at the ability to dual lot against me for the Surcoat.

It doesn't matter that I am always there on time or early, that I stay for the entire runs, lose countless EXP and haven't received one item for this linkshell. Rather then be fair, even to where they need to tell a former linkshell mate in another shell that he has to deal with the consequences of his wanting these items and not having perfect attendance. They have stated that "they are sick of the competetivness over the item and they are going to let him dual lot against me no matter what."

So be forewarned, do not join this linkshell, on top of barely being cognitive enough to win some runs, Hellich's abusive behavior as leading and his constant degrading of Beacon, AltTab and their respective leaders Antonioklaus and Hotpiercedguy, you will have to compete with rules that aren't followed in order to benefit the interests only of those who are their close friends. There is no reward for being dedicated and committed to this linkshell.

If you are need of a Dynamis linkshell that runs during those times you will be more fairly treated by Beacon or AltTab and they are highly more skilled.

I always wondered why Hellich had so many enemies, count one more.

Lawl this exact thing happend to me in my last 2 dyna LS. So I gave up on getting a Valor Body with a dyna ls and sometimes do low man Dyna farms with my main LS lol.

He didn't get fucked out of anything. He's bitching and moaning about someone else getting the chance to lot on an item against him. Nowhere in that post does he say that a Surcoat dropped and he wasn't allowed to lot. In fact, it merely says that someone else will be allowed to lot with him. He's pissed off about an item that not only hasn't been denied to him in any way, but that hasn't even dropped yet.

Rather than simply wait for the item to drop, lose the lot, and then decide to bitch, he's tossing out his chance to lot altogether.

Hope you have fun finding another dynamis shell to grind points in for that item!

Edit: Drama gets 2/10, with 2 bonus points having been awarded for featuring Hellich, who is a total douche and dramawhore anyway.

I have a little something called dignity and self respect. I'd rather quit a fucked up linkshell then be the one who gets the item and then quits.

Of course you are to narrow-sighted to see the problem. This entire time I have been abiding by the points system trying to get to where I am. In doing so I have passed on Valor Breeches, Valor Coronet, Valor Gauntlets and Valor Leggings, some multiple times. The reason for this is because points dictate the items and I stayed committed to my goal. I could have been 4/5 if I know points were not going to matter on the Surcoat.

Here let me update the situation to clarify it for you more.

I joined this linkshell on Hellich's invite, I already had Xarca and I have yet to get currency or even a damn Wootz Ore from the linkshell. I believed my dedication would be rewarded by me climbing in the points and getting a fair nod on the item, including solo lotting if the points feel in the rules.

I was the only one who was suppose to join this linkshell, but Alexika did too, because Hellich, on the days she needed to be playing my character do to work, wanter her BLM and RDM. The agreement was she would come the job he needed, but the points are for me. Now today after he asked her to come as herself for his needs, he dishonored the agreement, refuses to give me points, because if he does then his rules truly are being broken, because I would be leading by 2+ instead of just 2.

Imagine if your linkshell started blatantly and openly breaking rules, cost you a fair shot at the first Usukane body to someone who has put in less effort then you.

Doesn't matter though, the linkshell can't even get a damn thing to drop, probably have better luck soloing the Surcoat drop.

No matter if its .1 or 100 differance it usually means the the dood put bit more effort into getting points for what he wants then the other pearson. i think you missed the part where, someone who shouldn't have had enough points to lot at all, was allowed to lot because leaders decided to give him full credit for run that he shouldn't have gotten?

plain and simple, someone who didn't deserve to lot got a piece of gear over someone who was puting all their work toward a single piece of gear.

Wow, so not only were you barely leading in points, but you are only leading in points because someone else was playing your character or somehow accumulating points for you, and Hellich allowed that up until now? So if this person wasn't racking up points for you, how far behind would you be?

The points go to the character fool. If the character is there losing his EXP, it doesn't matter who is sitting behind the screen.

Of course we ran it by Hellich first, which he agreed as long as my character is there it's my character's points. It was him who asked for her Black Mage and Red Mage.

Hey, you're right. Hope I can find someone else to play my character to do those missions so I can feel good about my accomplishment later!

However, the guy who barely has enough dedication to finish the easiest storyline in the game hardly qualifies as thou who should cast judgement on me. Of course I understand why, you want to know that when you half-ass the rest of the game, you get to lot against others too. It's ok, go finish your Ninja and when you do something worthwhile, then I still won't care what you think, but you can be as smug as you want then.

he has every right to be upset that he was cheated out of solo lotting valor surcoat. it doesn't matter who was playing his character if there was an agreement with the leader.

if a leader bent rules for someone else, and it ended up screwing you out of something you wanted, you would be pissed off too.

If it makes you feel any better, when Hellich was in my LS last year I fucked him out of a.hands from Genbu. Gave them to a brand new BLM in the shell over him. Oh, the drama!

Pick up my slack? I work 50+ hours a week which one of my work days falls during Dynamis time. I provide a roof, electricity, heat, food for my wife and son. I have sold my own project car to buy a safe family sedan. I pay out of pocket for health expenses for me and my wife which we have no insurance for. She's not picking up no one's slack, she's doing me a favor that was pre-approved with Hellich when I came to him with my work schedule problem to do Dynamis. I am there every Tuesday and most Saturdays I can get off pulling my weight.

You need to get with the real world. You alone are the problem with society, you don't even know how to arrange your priorities.

If we all lived in your world we could all afk until the last 45 minutes of Dynamis and get full credit, oh the benefits that must bring.

You're right, I see the light 100% now. From now on, I'm going to make it a priority to bitch on KI whenever I get slighted in the smallest way (such as by one point in a dynamis linkshell, even when I'm still going to be allowed the opportunity to lot the item I'm after and only have one person to lot against). I'm going to start belittling others for their rank, gear, or whatever other faults I can find in their existence and then call them "the problem with society." I'm going to follow your shining example of where priorities need to lie.

I'm guessing now Jontale gets to lot that item unopposed? That'll teach him to AFK in dynamis!
