Xur, Aurik and many other people will kill you for that question. Anyway, most will tell you that there's no difference and that day/direction/moon doesn't affect synthesis at all. You can choose to believe whatever you like. If superstition makes you feel better than do it. I for one after 4 years of crafting do believe that there is a correlation between the chance of breaking and the elemental day. SE has coded this game around the elemental wheel - spells are affected by days, quests are affected by days, NMs are affected by day, why wouldn't crafting be affected by day? Just because something cannot be accurately tested doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
