WARNING this is a bit of a rant.

I am all for capitalism and if a person is willing to pay an exhorbitant amount of gil for something they
can do themselves then so be it. And the same goes for the drops that these Notorious Monsters give us
the only difference is that with the new quest everyone can get a chance if you work hard enuff for it.

That being said, after the hell that was the update yesterday I could not believe my elvaan ears as I logged on only to check region info and find that there was a lvl 7 Undead Swarm besieged going on but thats beside the point. I see a shout for a Khimaira Soul Plate that someone was trying to sell for 1M gil this person shall remain nameless as hey if youre dumb enuff to pay that much then go ahead and i cant punish ppl for being capitalists and getting while the getting is good.

I do however find it dispicable as the whole purpose behind this quest was to provide EVERYONE with a legitimate shot and getting what they want. Yet ppl STILL try and cheat ppl out of their gil for no good reason. IMO this defeats the whole damn purpose of the quest in the first place. Hmmm ok im gonna PAY 1M gil for something that will give me points toward the item to pop the NM to have a chance at the drop item that I want and could prob buy for less than 1M in 2 weeks. WTF jackass!!!

First off I had no desire to buy that plate, I am the type of player that loves to work for what i get. Hell I own 2 full sets of Assault gear
Pahluwan and Amir + mutliple chains and earrings from assault. I have unfortuneatley very little from sky and only 1 homam piece atm and am short temenos item from some AF+1. AF2=0 >< I have been known to solo anything possible and will ALWAYS try something by myself b4 asking for help even if I pretty much know Im gonna die doing it. Its a game and for glory of solo I will try anything.

Also I said in the post I am all for capitalism so if the shouter got a buyer more power to him the buyer is the stupid one. My problem with the whole situation is the level of greed in the game and rl. It disgusts me that we have predators in the game who take advantage
of ppl but what disgusts me even more is the fact that we have ppl that will conform to this and since we do it has become the norm.
I will jump to a conclusion and say that if he did find a buyer it was probably a gil buyer because they are the types to be wasteful of gil.
They dont work for it (in game anyway) and in turn are not frugal with it which in turn makes the rest of the economy suck.

Of course youre right it SHOULDNT get to me but it does. I guess Im just FFold. Seems like when i started (4 yrs ago i think) even in the haydays of MPK, RMT running wild, bots all over, and my lolCall Wyvern 2 hr,.... etc etc. Real players would still try and jack up price but they werent blatantly ripping ppl off in the middle of town in /sh. Call me a geezer.

And to OP, yeah, the amount of greed has definitely multiplied since the day Leaping Boots were the rare drop off Leaping Lizzy and the Emperor Pin was camped by RMT 24 hours a day, and it's definitely frustrating and annoying. I can't help but recall the multiple times I've saved for something only to find that some asshat or two are jacking up the price on the AH (hi2u luisant haubert). It's unfortunate, but it's also reality. :/ Not much we can do short of ignoring them.
