I see no reason why a DRK wouldnt want a free 20 extra ACC every 2min(Min.Recast time on DE is 5 min,with a duration of 3min).
Its basically a Sushi or 4 Sniper Rings for a loss of around 200HP.If someone values HP on non-zerg situation over Accuracy,might as well replace Snipers with a BQ Ring or something.
Sure,on merits its pretty useless,but on higher stuff like HNM's your ACC will NEVER be capped.(I have close to 90 ACC in gear,still missing alot on Kirin & friends).Diabolic Eye is the best friend of every meat build setup.
Personally,i am 5/5 DB,4/5 DE and 1/5 DS.I was considering deleting that one 1 DS merit to go 5/5 on DE,but i like Dark Seal for a Drain II on certain situations.

I personally like DS for either drain II or absorb acc prezerg. However, same as you that I feel like one day I might get rid of it since I am usually able to use staff prezerg for magic casting and swap it out after. Tho I keep it there just for easier zerg cuz I hate the period where after you Drain II and swap zerg and HP gears back from magic gears, you will find that you will need a cure IV or something to be full (dark magic gears usually don't have much +HP, so you swap to case thus reduce your HP, then you swap back to zerg gears thus there will be a big chuck that is empty). So with DS, I usually don't need that cure, which allows me to engage asap when Feint hits (it gradually reduce the effect over time like absorb, that why you will want to engage asap).

For "zerg fights with 2hrs" I actually never use drk magic gears for DS Drain 2, I just leave my zerg gear on so that way I don't have to swap again. Besides, I still drain 340-370~ still even without the dark magic gears. That's good enough for me. Start with full hp instead of needing a cure. Esp. on shit like DL/KV where by time I land the Drain 2, I won't have time to wait for someone to cure me before the 2h, so I just pre buff DS, when mob is inc. Drain 2>>>SE+BW engage.

kinda same 4 me, I just pop Dark Seal instead of the 318 Dark Magic build which I normally use for magic. I don't have a equip-zerg macro.
Just equip 16% Haste on a 1900HP build, build 300TP, Dread Spikes -> Dark Seal -> Drain II -> catastrophe, swap KC/janu+1 manually -> 2hr/SE

Peoples main reasoning behind wanting 5/5 Desperate Blows seems to be so that they can sub War in a zerg situation and still be at haste cap, but what a lot of people are forgetting is that not all zergs last for 30 seconds or less. If you had a zerg that lasted for, lets say 3 minutes then the DRK/SAM with 4/5 Desperate Blows and Hasso is going to end up pulling ahead of the Drk/War with 5/5 Desperate Blows.

Exactly. Not to mention the fact that the best two hand zerg weapon is still arguably BZ, and you really don't want to use DA with it. Fortitude Axe is where Drk/war might work, but you do lose a lot of accuracy due to lower skill and again, your performance drop off hugely after the first 30 sec.

I'm definatly happy with Capped out DB but if you do this you should (depending on what you wanna do) get Last Resort Recast Capped as well.

I personally find SE recast extremely extremely useful on HNM, which is situation where you can use the +20 accuracy to go with extra damage without giving it too much tp.

As for me, I did 5/5 SE recast and 5/5 LR effect. I am leaning toward taking 2-3 LR effect off and add to LR recast. For some odd reason I just like to have similar recast timer on both LR and SE due to the fact that I tend to use them together alot, and I often wait for one or another to be ready to activate both.

From what I can tell, the LR effect really isn't very noticable, so I might cut down some if not all of that. To me, SE is still our deadliest weapon, and on HNM it shows. Tho LR is equally powerful, but fall a bit short on HNM other than zerg.

I actually started using Bec ft even on zerg
I'd store tp to 300%, drain2, attack, and crack outa guillotine and spam as MANY guillotines as I could.
thing is with 4/5 DB, I only need like 6% haste or somthing on a full zerg with /sam
and with a windower macro, I set it to change gear after 30 seconds and last resort wear, throwing on as much haste as I can
next time I get parse I'll show you, but I'm 90% sure I can beat this well geared ridill drk who I'm usually shouting at ^^;
dont even consider the KC and Apoc in my ls a challenge on zerg fights.. I hate that...

I do a swap after the first 30 sec as well. First set I have 7% haste, and the second set I maximize all possible haste from gear.

I am pretty addicted to BZ zerg now that I have it. It really is convenient to switch from regular TP set to zerg set without having to worry about food, sub, and accuracy all that much. It allows me to go to all events /sam and eat all kind of food I want and I can zerg when it is needed right away. I don't find the same convenient from KC and MK and even fortitude Axe as all that requires more support (two brds) and some need /drg.

<3 the accuracy, which allows me to eat carbon most of the time. I can also maximize HP since I don't need much haste at the start.

and yes I do SO much agree! the convienience of zerging with /sam scythe agian is so much easier on the mog locker :3

I think that is usually about right on Bv2 with BZ if I don't die too early. Tho my LS usually go with only 1 brd so I had to always eat sushi instead of carbon. I would say you can probably cap out at around 9k with everything going for you. It only has about 25k HP.
