Well I've been drawing a lot lately, for one of my new stories based on Greek Mythology. I'm working on a drawing of Cerberus and the three heads are giving me some trouble while I'm trying to draw the body.

As you can see something is bothering me here.. I think it's the head on the left, but I can't seem to draw the body because something about one of the heads is out of place. D: Bleh.. If anyone could point me in the right direction of what I should do, concerning the body proportions and position, please post! ; ;

Try shortening the left head's neck and turning its head just a tiny bit to the right.

hmm... it depends on Cerberus's design. It looks like the heads are all stemming from the same place (like their all sharing the same neck at the base). You could alter it and make the heads come from the shoulders, one on each shoulder, and one in the middle.

just my 2 cents

Could you make a quick skeleton to help give an idea of what you're aiming for.

Sometimes the things that look out of place are the best.

If you look at alot of sketches and go "omg this is great" if you go and have a close look, poportions(sp) and positions of diffrent bodyparts may seem very out of place. but the picture is still awsome.

To me your cerb looks great, but hte head to the left is a bit bigger than the 2 other heads.

Bah, I'm sorry I haven't posted any responses!

I decided to resize the far left head and move it a bit to where it's in the middle of the other two heads.

As for a pose, I was thinking the leg near the closest head could be lifted up and the paw left dangling so that it looks as though that part of the body is searching. While the farthest leg planted on the ground.

For hing legs, the left hind leg would be kind of perched on a rock, which will ultimately make the body curve down. and the Right hind leg would probably be invisible, save for a paw.

Problem is, I just don't know how to go about doing it..

The head closest to you is too low. I also think you need to change that angle that it is come from the 'body'. It looks like it's side by side and no coming from the same point.

This is the general idea I get from what you wrote:

I used paint and I can't do much if it's not by hand. But is that how you want it positioned?
I've used different colours for the heads and it looks messy by the 2 legs I know. I think you'd want the back arched more too which wouldn't work with those heads you have.

I'd suggest starting from scratch, making a a polygon bass of what you want using one head only.

I dunno, I hope that helps
