Woodworking at 98

I left the game for a long time then came back and the economy is a mess, I couldn't find a single synth at my level that is profitable so I might not be able to reach 100...

Any professional crafters that can help me? I'm in Quetzalcoatl

The market is saturated. Way too many people with reusable goods. Woodworking, surprisingly, is over saturated despite it being a consumable market.

Advice: Go do something else.

Can I even do something else? I believe there's a cap at 60 if you have one craft too high

I'm from Asura but at a glance, looking at your server here are some synths that you can skill up on:

Synths I'd recommend:

99 cap:

Cursed Togi - Watch the AH and make this when it would be profitable, the price fluctuates a bit but if you're careful u can come out on top with this every time. I wouldn't personally recommend using this synth since its not spammable and its very expensive. It would take a VERY long time to lvl up with this.

Lancewood Lumber - This is only worth it if you have the patience to craft the lumber into Coffee Tables, which are slooooowwwww selling. Even then this recipe would wind up being a bit of a loss.If you want to power through you can sell the Lumber to NPC for 2k each.

Primate Staff - Slow selling but profitable on your server. You'll have to make your own Vermillion Lacquer but fortunately its very cheap to make and only requires Alchemy 2 24.

You should use either Lancewood Lumber, or a combination of Lancewood Lumber and Primate Staff synths to cap @ 99. Personally, I would do Lancewood Lumber exclusively despite the loss but that's becuz I don't like to muck around trying to spend a lot of time to save minimal gil. If you don't have the capital to do a big push then that method isn't for you however. If you -do- have the gil to fund all the synths u need at once then u can make the Lumber, then craft into coffee tables and sell them over time on a mule (it'd take a while to get all the gil back though so again, only do this is money isn't an issue).

100 cap:

This is the only thing that's worth your wild yo make 99-100 and tbh, its not bad compared to other guilds (eg. CC 99-100 160k loss per synth Blessed Briaults on Asura)

Staurobow - This recipe is medium-slow selling on your server and (at the current state of the AH) is about 15k loss. However, this isn't an item that you'll have much competition while selling allowing you to jack the price up thus making it profitable. It usually sells for 60k but if you increase the price by 5k every time this will be profitable for you. You'll have to be careful though because this is something people buy because they can't afford something better, so keeping it at a reasonable profit without making the price too ridiculously high would be ideal. Also, if you make this too high other crafters who need to skill up will take advantage.

The other 100+ cap synths look pretty gawdawful and sell veryveryslow.

I'm not WWer but from taking a look at what is available to you and analyzing your server's economy, this is what you have to work with and its actually quite reasonable. If you're patient this will get you to 100 with ease.

If you're interested in synths that you can do to actually make gil to fund this (as I wasn't 100% sure whether u were asking for help regarding profitable synths or help getting to 100 without asploding ur wallet) let me know and I'll go through all of the recipes that are available to you and give you a list of profitable ones. PM me if you're interested in that.

Anyone, on any server that tells you that you can't make money from your craft at 60+ isn't worth listening too.

If you got to 98 and you can't make gil, you missed something somewhere down the line.

If you think you've looked at all possible synths and didn't see any profit, look again.

Yar I just took a look at the AH for Quetzalcoatl and you should be able to bring in several hundred k per day easily.
