Here are some observations for the new and Advanced Gardener!

On March 1st, I left my account active and went to Europe on nearly no notice. I had left my plants to their demise and accepted the results.

I returned on April 7th, 2008. Of course all my plants were dead right? NO! my account stayed active, there were a couple updates, but just the same... Several of my mules (NOT ALL) had plants alive and well! Now these were UNCHECKED AND NEARLY IN BLOOM when i left. They had not progress at all since I left! Cool but wierd and unexplainable with my knowledge and over a years experience.

Since then, I have had 9 mules harvest at different times, seem to pause in the middle of growing and even had half the pots on a mule die. It's possible one or two of these instances could be explained by my error, BUT with the europes phenomenon as evidence, I KNOW something funky is happening. Not to mention, I have been diligent since losing 5/10 plants when checking to be sure i do all the plants on the same day (van'd day i mean) and check all of them equaly, yet i still harvest a few early and a few late according to the plan.

I'm assuming you had Moghancement: Gardening in your house? How strong was it?

The description of the Moghancement would make it seem that everytime your plant has a chance to wither, a check goes into place. You Moghancement probably tipped it in favor of NOT withering. Several times, most likely.

But it's just a guess.

There can only be one strength. You can't improve moghancements, only elemental strength.
