Unless the enmity loss reduction is significant, I don't see the hype.
Earth Staff -1, Chainsaw +2
Iono, only time will tell, I suppose.

Yeah....because I see plds all the time that can equip shields and staves at the same time. Are you retarded?

I really hope you have an Excalibur and are just trying to justify your purchase to yourself. If not you are the one on drugs for favoring a sword that has no actual benefit other than a substantial increase in DoT over one that boosts the nearly all the job characteristics of Paladin. I'll take 10 enmity, -10% physical damage taken and reduced enmity loss when taking damage over 350 dmg add. effect with a random proc.

Guys, guys, guys, get your heads on straight.
Paladin is a tank, and nothing else. Trying to deviate from your inherent purpose is foolhardy, even if you can still do your job with utmost finesse whilst utilizing secondary potential.
I mean, honestly, what are you guys thinking?

+10 enmity.
plusfuckingten enmity.
That alone makes my pants tight. The Phys dmg down is good, as well as decreased hate loss from bloodlet. I still think PLD's will tank as sub NIN with this weapon. Regardless, shadows fall and you get hit - shit happens. Those are fun as a side note.
I really wish, however, that the aftermath would be more paladin endgame orientated, such as a hate freeze or annulls damage from next attack. But I am not picky, this

Ooo great comeback. Attack my post count because you have no creditable argument against what I stated. Please if you would point out exactly where I said going outside the bounds of ones main job purpose was foolhardy? I'm all for expanding the possibilities of any job but don't fucking try to put words in my mouth. I expressly said in a tanking situation both /war or /nin this blows any other sword out of the water. I also acknowledged the huge dmg boost that can be gained from excalibur if geared properly but most people play pld to guess what? That's right tank. So if you wanna go explore the bounds of pld as a DD job go for it but don't try to act like this isnt the flat out best sword for 90% of tanking situations.

Oh, and as for the retarded question I'll take your response as a yes. Have a good day.

Give me a valid argument to refute and I'll have something to work with. Otherwise, you leave me no choice but to focus on the fact that you chose to make your third post evar "lol ur retarded".
In my humble opinion, at this point in the game, Paladin needs no help with enmity control nor damage control; Why not use something that will make a difference?

Yeah, because dealing the minute amount of extra damage as a PLD is gonna help your LS a whole lot more than being that much less of an MP sponge.
Edit: Also, fuck you SE. What if we want the WS, but don't want to spend all that time getting to floor 100 Nyzul? Meh. Just the lazy part of me I guess, but any LS i've been in hasn't been interested in taking a PLD to a Nyzul static. ._.
