I kinda like this, but how's its damage.
Overall... I'll probably work on it. Probably won't get it. But I'll try. :3

Before getting too excited about the one and only good thing on that katana, i'm waiting to see if this:
means that "Occasionally attacks twice" works in offhand or doesnt. I guess it should? Since its clearly an effect that affects attack speed ratings, but then again, who knows?
QUOTE
Additional effects other than those affecting damage and attack speed ratings of relic and mythic weapons do not trigger when those weapons are equipped in the offhand slot.

Even if that's the case, nagi/kikoku will still dominate.

Kikoku in offhand is worthless. You dont get Metsu, you dont get the Occasional Triple dmg procs, you dont get the paralyze, and you dont even get the Attack+20. You're better off with Nagi/Perdu or Nagi/Senj, or even better off by just screwing off Nagi and getting one of the broken Mythic weapons like PLD.
Btw new Alexandrite requirement is 30,000.

There's a NIN in my LS who has a Kikoku. I don't know if he's doing it wrong or not, but it looks pretty useless when it's in his hand. Yes, main hand.
Is he doing it wrong, or is Kikoku really a 'just for fun' relic weapon?
(Yes, I realise I'm derailing the thread somewhat but it made me remember that I've been contemplating Kikoku's viability.)
By the way: Magic Accuracy +10 is in place for Ninjutsu. Just a thought.

Complete fucking garbage, that is all.
+1
I was looking forward to this, but 30K alexandrite for the occassional soloing stint... no thanks.
Enhances a 2-hour ability? /backflip for uselessness...
1-hit WS that decreases the mobs ACC? /whoop-de-fkn-dooo...
Glad to have Kikoku and glad to be tossing Sasuke Katana.

Don't toss Sasuke yet! Get the new WS first, no reason not to.
Even without Nagi, it could occasionally be useful (I'm really reaching here, but there's no reason NOT to get it).

Enmity+10
Is all I looked at, can get +12ENM with this and some other Katana for a tanking build which is better than Hades Sainti, though it's really if you want to maximize.

the WS will be pretty for looks and all... but hardly worth the effort...

I kinda don't like this myself personally... but I'm curious about what this does for Mijin Gakure. According to the update notes, "Augment" means it adds additional effects. Reacton arm just "Enhances" the effect of Mijin Gakure so it probably just makes it do more damage. But this here might make it AoE or something...
Still wouldn't be worth it though lol. I'd rather have BLU's Tizona or something, "Occ. converts damage dealt to MP" sounds much more fun than an enmity and magic accuracy boost. Hell even PUP's "Suppresses Overload" sounds more interesting.

5 minute recast no hp reduction or death, id dig that.
after seeing this though, I'd like the WS just for a tool to evade more while i soro.

Surprised some of you are taking it so well; I kinda feel the same as Amas right now, complete utter garbage.
Basically (time to quote boys n' girls) SE is telling everyone who plays NIN to kill theirself.

Weeks on BG said it best.
If SE keeps doing what it's doing, they might as well remove NIN from the game and give us an XP voucher to have another job at 75.
I love NIN, by far my favorite job in the game, but I never get to play it for much of anything because it's rarely preferable to use over RDM or SAM (mainly for small grouping and solo, which I just don't have time to do that frequently).
Getting really, really frustrated by SE's incompetence when it comes to game balance. There are definitely a couple jobs worse-off than NIN (SMN and BST come to mind, and THF as well to some extent), but it just frustrates the hell out of me that NIN went from being one of the best-balanced to most underpowered jobs without being directly touched (other than nearly unnoticeable Utsusemi nerfs).
