Well, I'm sure many of you have gotten a chance to read the updates and perhaps even glimpsed at some of the .DAT mining threads. If you have, then you probably noticed the new Lance we got (Non-Mythic):

Well, I'm assuming that's the complete set seeing as there are no other items related.

Now, I don't know how much the set increase will be (5, 10, more?), but let's compare to our other friends (Again, not going to include Relic/Mythic):

The Jump TP bonus is more than likely going to be the same as the Barone family (+2, +3 from Conte, but I don't think that will roll over to the weapon). The Skystrider obviously has the lower base damage with same delay. What I'm more interested in is the set bonus. Now this discussion may or may not continue any further if we find out the bonus is completely negligible (Replace an Atk+5/6 earring for a set bonus that only increases 5 STR/5ATK might be worthless)

Also, it appears Valkyrie's Fork will still remain the top Lance, just second to the Relics.

HOWEVER, if the set bonus does prove to be quite high (+10 to all would be almost fantastic, but probably a dream), would you replace an earring for these two pieces of equipment? In my opinion, I think I would replace my Thalassocrat with the Skystrider + Earring, but I would definitely not replace a Valkyrie's Fork for these two.

EDIT: For Thal+1, I think you lose your 6-hit after WS if you get a +1, and it's one more base damage with 1 more DEX/VIT. I didn't post it either because I see more V.forks than Thal+1's. Hell even the Mez+1 and Thal+1 population is lower I think.

I hope this comes from the new Campaign NM thing then, otherwise that's just aweful. Though unless the Set effect is good I doubt anyone will want the earring anyway >_>

This weapon supposedly drops off of a DRG NM Orc in Le Vaule.

On BG it seems the earring drops from the orc BCNM, while it's still unconfirmed where the lance comes from. It doesn't seem to be the DRG orc NM because that NM drops a diff. Weapon, though it could drop 2, never know. Hopefully I'll go farming the NMs later in the day and see what we get.

Edit:

Murderer and Supremacy Earring set together; 6 STR, 7 attack(maybe skewed from the 6 STR..) and xxx ranged attack, assuming 6-7 though, come from having them both equipped. Not too shabby for corsairs?

From BG, if it's the same amount for all of the weapons, that sounds hottttt.
