There is very little in this game that is "difficult." The difficult part is organization, preparation, and execution. Did you notice how not a single group who killed AV killed all of their pops? AV can kill you at any time, regardless of how many DRKs you have, how good you are, etc. etc. If you want to play that game, what is difficult in FFXI?

Going to be a very interesting couple of weeks here. Has anyone tested the use of Souleater over an extended timeframe (i.e. going in 5-10+ min after the last use)? I wonder if it's a static resistance built up or if it diminishes over time. If it diminishes then Souleater might still be useful considering straight melee DMG is hopeless.

Here's a small theory. What if AV builds a resistance to weapons. Like say after wacking him with a GS for while, you would start seeing less and less damage done. How about trying to zerg him for awhile with only swords, then switch it to axes, then daggers, and so one only to rotate back to swords. Just a thought

Because if you could theoretically get him to 79% and he puts the bracelets on, you aren't going to be able to survive to test anything, let alone weapon resistances. He'll fuck your shit up faster than you could imagine. He can do it at 100% at a whim pretty much. Bracelets are AV on his period x100.

I'm sorry, i don't find anyone else here tearing into you so i will.

First and Foremost, an AV zerg WAS not easy. At all. It requires 10-13 DRKS with 2 hour BRD support. It requires inside PT RDMs 2 hour healing, It also requires out side Party healing. And even then it's not 100%.

AV has a TP move, Impact Strem which stuns for a varibale duration based on the player. He also has various TP moves and attacks at a fast speed. The DRKs need to stay @ or above 90% the whole fight in order to be affective and do enough DMG. This is not easy.

Any of the following 2hours will result in instant death, invinsable/Benediction/Perfect Dodge/Sam 2hour/Manafont/Chain Spell/(Minj/Astral if pets are up) TP moves, Impact strem, un-Blinked Medusa on K-Club DRK.

Not just any "Sea Shell" could kill the bastard. It was literaly 4-5 shells across all servers, and maybe a couple team up groups. So this was not the "HARDEST MOB IS EASY TO KILL!!!!!!!" Nope, he wasn't easy and probably only 1% of the population could kill him.

I'm sorry about the rest of the 99% of you. If you are not in a shell that can kill AV due to your lack of DRKs/K-Clubs/what ever. Go to ffxiah and look at how many people are selling clubs. Don't tell me you can't aquire one, and it's just luck that these shells have 5-7 clubs. LS's have spent years killing mobs selling drops and making money to get to this point where they can kill AV. And because you all bitched that it's not fair "My sky shell can't kill AV WAAAAAAAHHHHHAHAHAHHH" SE has again made AV unkillable.

You know after a year or so, all his drops would have been under 10 mil. And you could have bought them. Now no one will have and they will remain 50 mil+.

DRKs don't ding into full ZERG gear @ 75. It takes time/gil to get a good build. You can't just half ass an AV. Why do you think most shells went 50-70% Kills vs. Death on AV. He can still kill you. No matter what.

Now that all you cry babies have had your way, I invite you to please go burn 30k of your XP to figure out the damn secret. Cause i've done that on a few occasions before the Zerg strat, and guess what. We didn't kill him. He Metor'd our faces. And we all died. There is no deffence to Instacast-Metor.

Yep, SE adjusted AV days after the update because of peoples whining. Thats why problems that have been whined about for years are still waiting for an adjustment.

You have to get to his family and his loved ones first, although this plan backfired on the green goblin , I have confidence that if I kidnap AVs loved ones I can scar him emotionally which will crit high enough to kill him, PLUS emotional scars dont fade that fast they are like bad ass DOTs, so every time he spawns and see's me, he will always remember.

Then he will finally get closure when he appears on oprah one day and then its back to the drawing board...
