I was hoping to try the new Bastok quest BCNM, but I'm having trouble finding information about it. There's so little information out there on the wiki's that it's kinda depressing.

Has anyone tried it? Got any tips for it? Even just horror stories saying not to attempt it would be welcome at this point. XD

I haven't heard any other tips besides that you need someone who can do mob control. I am on valefor if anyone needs this quest. Send me a tell in game if you need it also.

You need a sleeper. Otherwise Adelheid gets gang banged. I wasn't expecting the waves to be so large, so... When I tried duoing with a MNK friend on my SMN... we didn't get so far.

About how many mobs would you say there were? And any idea how difficult they were? I know it's hard to tell if the npc got insta-pwned by a large number of mobs, but any info would be appreciated.

There was... about 8... My MNK friend got 1 to 20% or so by himself. I cure III bombed Adelheid cause I had no time to get Shiva up by the time they were on her... but I kept her alive for about 20 seconds with them all hitting her.

I gave this a try tonight, and we managed to win. Our pt was WHM, BLM, BRD, and BST. It went fairly smoothly, ended up with about 5 minutes to spare at the end. Multiple forms of sleep is a must for this. A full group isn't necessary, but I don't think I'd be comfortable going with any less than 4. Sorry Corrderio, you weren't on.

The waves started out fairly small, the BST + pet was able to solo a mob pretty quickly, and so could the BLM. The quads do not have a lot of HP, and I believe this could probably be manaburned if the mobs were positioned correctly. After the first two or so waves, they start coming at you from multiple directions so you'll have to be careful to protect the npc as she dies fast. I tried to enfeeble the mobs, but they died too fast to be worth casting. During the last wave there are quite a lot of quads, so the healer and sleepers will have to be on the ball.

The npc is a braindead twit and does nothing useful, either cowering in fear, or running in circles with mobs chasing her. Fortunately there was only one instance where she was running around, fairly early in the battle.

Adelheid is packing unstable explosives, and can't really do anything is the story reason why she doesn't do anything. If you saw her in action in Grauberg, she's pretty bad ass.

I tried soloing this as BLU when it first came out. I flashed and stunned them all and tried yawn, which was a mistake. Should have used a different sleep that isn't gaze. The thing was that they didn't go after me when stun wore off, they all went after the SCH girl even after they were actinic bursted, temporal shifted, AND yawned. I'll try sheep song or soporphic next time. Though it might be better if I go with a friend who could sleepga and cure the NPC. I wanna find someone to help me, but dunno anyone who's on this yet.

They're probably like the Fomor on the Royal Painter Escort quest. The only way to get enmity is to damage them.

did this with 2x blm and sam/war, i guess you could replace the sam/war with any other job, all I(sam) did was every second wave take a mob away from the pack so BLMs could nuke the rest and control 1 so they could heal MP and carry on, the last waves with the turret is a lil tricky, but any decent blm can control the whole pack while they arrive while the other ppl in your pt just zerg things to death/keep npc alive(she is really f*cking annoying at times)
