Hey everyone, I have now hit 56 and have been wondering, should I continue to wear my o.kotes and eat sushi, or wear the af gloves and eat rice balls? If I opt to wear the AF I plan to buy 2x sniper's rings. Any input would be great because I don't wanna drop the gil on 2x rings if it's going to end up not being worth it to wear the gloves.

Use O.kote and x2 snipers if you don't have a Rajas (remember kids, don't toss your Rajas! you can't get it back for 28 days.... trust me ) tbh you're in the 50s who cares, I level up so gimp and only really make an effort 68+, but if you have the O.kotes keep them and use Meat like Uyo said, plus the only AF you should be wearing is head and thats on meditate onry, maybe legs, but you should have royal knights.

Meh I was 8/8 on GKT when my SAM was 48 gogo NIN merits! so I was eating meat all the time~

I used AF legs till Shura(I can't stand the way Royal Night Breeches look) then swap for Haidates at 75

I am kinda, I am not gonna rip on someone because they have fang earrings instead of spike or w/e, as long as they're making a tiny effort and not use like full af or something along those lines, I used a NQ amemet lol because I didn't wanna spend gil for 10 levels till I dinged into my forager's, took maybe 3-4days for those lvls and now I live happily ever after.

I look really retarded (I am retarded though) when I level on how cheap I can be I have a hauby+1 and stuff and used NQ amemet lol, but if I have better stuff waiting for me I will use the next worse piece just because I am so cheap lol, plus I try to level as fast as I can if I have the time, but it's all worth it when I can ding into that sweet sweet gear in the 70s.

when im lvling a job, up until about 40, i dont make much of an effort in gear. sure, ill buy the right type of gear, but im not going to waste money on HQ stuff unless it lasts forever. after 40, i start taking it more seriously, and though i still avoid overly expensive HQs and such when i can, my overall focus on gear increases.

That was the question that I was asking.

That's exactly what I mean, but I do it a little later and Bane worded it alot better, not really much you can get around 50ish that make a huge difference depending on the job, I tend to go the NQ way unless HQ isn't to bad, but acc rings and hauby for sam are a given, and despite royal knights being really ugly (although I happen to like the look), they're a great piece.
