Whatever you do, do not dance. You should definitely not dance.

OH GOD SO FUNNY I LOVE THIS BOARD
I would've assumed you were joking from your first post as well. Apparently you're not. HAve you tried reading some of the other threads? There's a lot of info here as well as a few guides on wiki.

This is how he is, he finds things funny in his own lil way.

This obviously isn't a serious thread. He's just doing this to attempt to piss me off, lol

I read the wiki guide and all it said was DNC is a cool job and it gets AF and you can just full time all of your AF because he's good enough to fulltime and not worry about your other gear and I mean really who needs other gear when you have DANCRA AF?

Don't blood tank.
Use Sambas like regen magic, it's not a substitue for waltzes
Use Steps to enfeeble and build up finishing moves
Use Flourishes to spend finishing moves
Use waltzes to cure people (macro <st>)
Gear focus: Accuracy and Dex, maybe a Chr macro for waltzes
Food focus: Accuracy or Chr
WS timing is up to you, but try to play it safe.

Why can't I blood tank?
How does it work like regen when you it's not actually regen samba?
I thought paralyze, slow etc was enfeebles.
What's a finishing move?
You can't cure people unless you're SCH RDM or WHM?
Why can't I gear towards vit? That increases my waltzes?
Same as above
My viper bite does like 80 damage it's kinda awesome so I just spam it.

Light armor class: Cloth, Leather, and Harness do not give much protection.
QUOTE

It heals for small numbers for a little bit of time, it's just inconsistent.
The point was to heal people with waltzes once you get them at lv15.
QUOTE

Lv20 Quickstep lowers target's evasion
Lv30 Boxstep lowers target's defense
It's an enfeebling effect. This has nothing to do with enfeebling magic skill.
QUOTE
What's a finishing move?
It's like charging up a power bar for a super move. You can charge up to 5.
QUOTE

At lv15, you get 'curing' waltz. A cure that's a job ability and costs tp and does not require skilling up any magic.
QUOTE

The calculation uses the target's vit. Putting vit on yourself only works if your only waltzing yourself.
I only leveled dnc to 37, so I'm basically repeating stuff already said on the forums. So yes, Joshter, it's very consistent. If you disagree, please share your wisdom with us rather than just your mocking tone.
Edit: It's not about wether the OP is staging his ignorance or promoting a mnk stereotype, it's about asking questions and giving answers. It's not like there's a sticky for playstyle and frequently asked questions.

That'll change soon. I'm working on a guide myself actually, but just haven't had the time to finish it.
Edit: But honestly, DNC isn't even a hard job to play you just need common sense, though the same could be said for any job.

Laughing about the suggestion of CHR food, and only "maybe" a CHR setup for Waltzes. That's like a WAR without a WS setup. lol
I would definitely have a lot to add to a DNC guide, but I wouldn't dare make one myself. Starting from scratch just doesn't sound very fun.

Gear is going to take me ages lol, but the rest isn't that bad.
After I get it posted and crap, feel free to point out some things i've overlooked.

I myself don't understand the point of a gear guide for any jobs...
If someone learns how their job works.. purchases made for that job should go like this:
"Is this piece of gear better than what I currently have for XXX situation?>>
>>Yes? Buy it.
>>No? Don't buy it.
Apply that statement to all situations you would possibly use said piece of gear and you're gold.
Like for a THF... I can't understand why some THFs will go from wearing republican subligar (+ attack) to full-timing AF legs (+4 AGI). It should seriously be a no-brainer... AF legs are only for TA and steal... but I guess, without retards, the world wouldn't be whole >.>

That, or it's like a War eating attack/str food with an accu setup vs eating accu food with an attack/str setup.
It wasn't clear when I said 'maybe' and 'or', but I was trying to give a short response.
Having a chr setup for waltz isn't going to affect you as much as having an acc setup to actually gain tp needed to use the waltzes.
On gear setups, just point out the bare necessities until the leetists start hassling you to add what they think is best.

I agree, but yeah people are retarded and have to have their hand held through everything.

Well ffxiclopedia already has a good list of gear for TP. You would just need to add in the CHR build and then make a detailed explanation of when to wear what for the "special" ones out there. That should make it a lot easier on you.
Here's the Link
Coming from someone not 75? Have you seen the difference in a Waltz IV with no gear changes vs. CHR+47? I TP in only +21 Accuracy and if I'm at Mamool Ja Staging Point fighting NIN or THF, I swap in an extra 20. My average parse puts me at 89-90% Melee Accuracy because sushi is our best friend. Lower levels (where you are) are where Accuracy is of real importance.
