Hey Dancer forums! I just hit Level 53 last night, and I'm wondering if I should upgrade any equipment or if there is any rare/ex items im missing out, I put a photo below showing my current EQ:



I macro in my AF hands for steps, and as for my earrings, I'm wondering if I should leave my Melody+1's on all the time? or just macro them in for Waltz's and DE when I unlock it. I was using Beetle +1 x2 before hand. Thanks!


P.S. I know Rapparee Harness should be my body for the 4% haste, but I don't have access to it yet, or I would. Alternatives? I have a SH waiting for me to TP in, and AF for when I hit 60.

If that is your TP setup, you should try more DEX/Accuracy/Attack. There's no need to TP in -Enmity & CHR, so these are the replacements I would make:

Voyager Sallet, Peacock Charm/Amulet, 2x Beetle Earring +1, Rapparee Harness/Brigandine/Fomor Tunic, Republic Subligar, and Leaping/Bounding Boots

Crow is a very nice thing to macro for Waltzes until you can fill it with a good CHR spot or the AF body. At 75, I have a pretty massive CHR build:

Kard, War Hoop, Panther Mask+1, Star Necklace, 2x Melody Earrings +1, AF body, Cobra Unit Cuffs, 2x Heavens Rings, Corsette +1, Clown's Subligar +1, and Dune Sandals

This is my only gear set up lol~ I noticed you suggest things like Voyager Sallet, Rapparee Harness and Fomor Tunic. I don't have access to even Lufaise Meadow's so those are just out of the question. I've macro'd in my melody's for curing waltz (I see the difference majorly without them), and I'm wearing beetle full time. Next time I'm in town I'll buy a Republic Subligar and Brigandine and start macroing in the raven's. Thanks alot.

Fomor Tunic is a sexy piece and not that gimp at the same time. And I'm Azoth/Joyeuse main, but I have Kard if I need CHR build.

But anyway, the rest of your gear looks good. There's not a lot of guessing when it comes to gearing DNC. You have a lot of duh, i should be wearing this. You should definitely get into CoP, because you have a lot of good gear upgrades from doing so. You are missing out on 8% Haste right now, but you're not completely gimp. For the love of god, don't be a DNC in 5/5 AF full-time. They bring tears to my eyes.

No wai? STR+3 DEX+3 is still an option. Its not the best, but its viable if you have it...

Fomor Tunic: STR+3 DEX+3
Brigandine/Hairpin: AGI+3 DEX+5 VIT+2 Evasion +10

Its not that gimp.... It IS an optional piece to wear and IMO I love the way tunics look on my fat Galka.

You suggested a Kard and a Fomor tunic. I just thought I'd point out how awesome this forum is at gear advice.

While i was lvling dancer to 75 i used acc and att + gear. Anything else is a waste. If you are soloing lots on go with crow gear, but if you are not there is no point in stacking eva gear. I was only asked to tank once in all the party's i was in from 50-75. If you don't use sushi wile in prtys don't bother staking haste gear cause you will just sit there and miss like crazy.

Hey guys, I'm nearing 60 now and I was wondering which is more beneficial for a Dancing Edge Macro, beetle +1 or Melody? I know one of DE's factor's is based on CHR, so which would be better? +6 Attack or +4 CHR?

Go with att+. Before 75 there is no point in stacking out on chr just for a weapon skill.

How the hell is Kard bad? When you are main heal in merit, Kard/Joyeuse > all. Period. Low delay, CHR+3, and base dmg isn't that awful. When you are main heal, losing 10 base dmg from Azoth to Kard is hardly noticable.

Wouldn't you be better off with like.. the ACC for a missed swing? I mean... I know CHR+5 (and not 3) is doing massive amounts for your Waltz.. but you might be better off with say.. ACC.. and a decent base damage dagger to put a little more DD into it. IDK maybe DNC all of a sudden got A skill in sword and dagger though.
