not sure if this has been asked, so my bad for missing it.

i'm confussed with some posts ive seen on this. below is copied + pasted from wiki.

"Only your CURRENT number of floors completed counts. So for example if you received the weapon and started the quest with 90 floors completed, and then did a 91->96 run, you only need 500 WS points to unlock the Weapon Skill. If you already did 500 WS points with the weapon, you will get the WS when the progress is saved to your Runic Disc."

the way i understand this. if i start now (currently floor 25 recorded on disk). by the time i reach floor 90-100 i'll have well over the needed WS points. so if i do it this way. by the time i get to floor 90 will the WS be unlocked for me?
i've asked different people this question but no one seems to know. and the way it's worded above is kind of confussing.

anyone know the answer to this 100%? i dont wina start at 25 with this idea in my head then get to 100 and realise i still need all 7000 points.

thanks in advance.

Yes, if you start on a lower floor, and progress higher, the number of weapon skill points you need will be lower, and if you've already done more than the new value, you'll receive the weaponskill.

The chart (as of recent) and formula for determining the number you'll need is the following :
CODE
Floor 100: 250
Floor 095: 580
Floor 090: 680
Floor 085: 780
Floor 080: 880
Floor 075: 1,160
Floor 070: 1,360
Floor 065: 1,560
Floor 060: 1,760
Floor 055: 2,320
Floor 050: 2,720
Floor 045: 3,120
Floor 040: 3,520
Floor 035: 4,640
Floor 030: 5,440
Floor 025: 6,240
Floor 020: 7,040
Floor 015: 9,280
Floor 010: 10,880
Floor 005: 12,480
Floor 000: 14,080

Formula :
100: 250
80-99 : 500+20*(99-x)
60-79 : 1000+40*(79-x)
40-59 : 2000+80*(59-x)
20-39 : 4000+160*(39-x)
00-19 : 8000+320*(19-x)
Where x is your current floor number. (Actual investigated floor number -- if you exited on F3 instead of 5, x = 3.
