It's been a long time since I ordered a book, but the excerpts I've read from this decided me. Paul Carr has a cynical, seething dislike of the dotcom boom and Web 2.0, but isn't above admitting his jealousy over everyone else's success at it. Somehow, he finds himself a minor celebrity, or at least a hanger-on, in the social circles he claims to despise, and this book gives a peek into his misadventures.

Spending a weekend at a hideaway spa on Google's dime, then claiming they were going to kill him, throwing advertising mogul's sneakers off a rooftop during a pool party, and getting in a pint wherever he can, this is a great read and I look forward to getting my full copy soon.
