I've been watching this dark elemental in Pankration for a good number of fights now and he takes 0 physical damage. Always. What causes this?

usually Eles (i think) come with dmg down auto abilities so that could be apart of it ^^

Well this dark elemental would stay in there a long time, it took all magical damage, even from start of fight (or maybe after a stone skin wore off) but it NEVER took physical..No matter what it would fight. Was weird.

Physical dmg resistance ? I used that on my Earth element just to see what it was like and after a few levels my earth element was taking ~75 from fiends 10-15 levels above mine, and 0-10 when same/close to my level... I quit pankration though.... so just a thought///thouh with phys dmg resistance leveled + phalanx.... seems possible

All elementals have a natural resistance to physical attack. This makes an elem with no buffs take 10-15 damage as usual dmg from high hitters, just like a DRK hitting an elem in Xarcabard for 20 damage even though it is 30 levels below them. They are like slimes, and then you add > Phalanx Damage resistance bonus Stoneskin Blink and BLM spells, my Dark Elem lasted about 300 fights before another elem killed me, Pankration is broken only paralyze silence and enspell/magic can kill an elem, they dont take enough dmg to die before the fight ends. (I have 6 level 50 elems and all of them can only be beaten by 2 things, enspells and magic.)

And that is why I stopped pankration.... nearly every fight I was in/watched was something VS an element, gets kinda boring after a while.
