Before I spend months trying to get my monster gloves I wanted to know if the Call Beast merits stack with the call beast from the gloves so that I can call beast past 75 or is the cap still 75 with the gloves and merits?

Monster Gloves Question

to my understanding:
Monster Gloves will make uncapped mobs summon 0-1 levels as opposed to 0-2 levels from mjob
and Beast Affinity will raise the level of your monster by 2 per merit, for a total of 10 levels while under mjob, static.
so, to my knowledge, the jugpets that can be affected by Beast Affinity will not be affected by monster gloves (such as Funguar, will always be level 75)
and monsters that have no cap (Chucky, CC) will not be affected by Beast Affinity and rather take the level cap/floor from monster gloves instead.
however, this is from word-of-mouth, I don't have 5/5 Affinity yet - I think itll be right after 4/8 HP, which will be right after 8/8 katana

I would assume the cap is 75, but I just macro the gloves in for every Call Beast, regardless of if it's uncapped, or capped etc.

I do have 5/5 on Beast Affinity and if you've read in the accomplishment thread, you've no doubt heard me wine on about my experiences at getting the gloves are.
I wanted to get the gloves so I could do some testing with it but as they never drop in my ls, that won't be happening anytime soon.
In any case DO spend time to raise and cap Affinity because it opens up new pets you can use at 75.
Stuff like HQ tigers will cap around 73 with 5/5 Beast Affinity which isn't that bad at all and even have Funguar Familiar capped at 75.
I was wondering myself if I could push my HQ tigers to lvl 75 cap with monster gloves but I'm not totally sure.
The description of the gloves seem to suggest that your pet will not spawn the same level as you (perhaps even on uncapped pets) so by equipping them, it narrows the gap from 2 to 1 level.
Thinking about it like that kind of makes sense because those people who have ever soloed their jobs at "pet" camps well target a mob that will summon a pet repeatedly so they could chain exp.
In every case, the pet is always below the level of it's master and it becomes very easy for people to solo this way.

Monster Gloves go freelot and hit the floor now on our Xarc runs, come with us ^^
On a side note, 2 more levels and merits and I can toy with this nice monster of an item!
Also.... beast af+1, feet or legs first?

I did feet first because i was not even 74 yet when i got my items and because galka RSE feet are pretty good for BST. Legs would be the best piece to do first since they also serve as a decent WS piece, but to be honest upgrading any of feet, legs or hands is good, since those 3 pieces are all pretty good...
so sad i barely have time to toy around with my BST ; ;
