This is really huge! My goodness, America's first Black President!!!
I'm honestly shocked, cause I was so sure America wasn't ready for a black president, cause where I live there's alot of people would say one thing and do another.
I voted for Obama, but my vote obviously didn't count, I didn't expect it too, I live in a red state lol But wow, yeah, America's 44th president is the first black president! Congratulations to Barack Obama!!!!
HOW DO YOU LIKE THEM APPLES EH!!!!! LOL

I didn't think America would vote for a black guy, but at the same time I kind of knew he would win.
On that note, congratulations Obama, and good luck.

Understatement of the century.
He's gotta pick up Bush's mess. And if he can't make it happen, he discredits his entire race (in the eyes of the ignorant masses.)
Good luck indeed.

XD That made me laugh, especially since they were being so generous towards each other after the results.
All I can say is Hallelujah. I just hope he and his family remain safe.

I facepalmed when McCain was giving his speech. Not because I dislike McCain, I actually like him and just wish he would have run a better campaign. It was because of all the booing and hissing by his supporters. I mean seriously, how butthurt can you be?

this isnt just a victory for obama. its a victory for the USA, its a victory for the world.
Now americans can regain their pride, and be proud to call themselves an american, and im damn proud of my vote in saving this country and world.
Finally, americans can get the feeling that they voted for someone not just because they were the lesser of the 2 evils, but because that person is the right choice.

Actually I just voted Obama because McCain forced my hand by picking Palin and selling himself out to the right wing nutjobs. Where was the moderate McCain of the past years I loved so much?

Wise man once say "Only an idiot wants to be president right now." That pretty much makes all 4 sets of people on the ballot a big group of dumbf-cks.
And as far as I'm concerned, anyone who thinks any of those four choices was the correct choice, to get us out of this mess anyways, is probably wrong.
As much as people like blaming Bush for all our problems, its as much the fault of Congress for pushing those laws through, the people who were stupid enough to take an ARM instead of an FRM, and the stockholders compounding the problem even more by panicking. We're just trading one set of problems for another, and unless something drastic happens, the new president will straddle the party byline just like most other presidents do to some extent or another.
Right now, I'm just glad I have a job, and am going to look for new ways to save for after the increased taxes start hitting my paycheck. At the same time, I'm just waiting for the time when all those corporations that gave money to his campaign come looking for a either a handout, or an exemption from those new taxes because "Hey, we helped fund that glorified, taxpayer mocking, probably helped hurt the economy just as much as the housing market collapse, thing you call a campaign."

It's thought like yours that contributes to the deterioration of this country, not people who 'save' or 'destroy' it by voting for a particular candidate. I'm an American, I'm proud to be one, and I always have. I love my country, and the mistakes George Bush made didn't take my pride away, and no one can for that matter. If you're going to be a fair-weather patriot, then honestly, get the fuck out. You are a walking paradox. Idiot.

Sorry I wasn't aware you were required to be proud of everything your countries done to itself and the world in order to be a good American.
"World: America started a war without real cause"
"American: YEAH!! WE DID THAT!! WOOOT GO AMERICA!!"
Sorry for not being so 'proud' of our failures.

And that was my point, idiot. It's not based on the country as a whole, it's based on individuals. You don't have to agree / go along with everything a leader decides / does to be proud you belong to that country and its legacy. This shouldn't effect your pride of the people in times past who have fought and labored to make that country what it is today. Too many sacrifices have been made. If everyone thought like you, we wouldn't last five minutes. No country would. Fail.

"You just took a shit!" "That was very unamerican of you; That is obviously fertilizer."
