Who the fuck cares about low level gear anyway? Any of the gear you need at any level, you'll probably have at 75 (hi2uSnipers).
AF+1 should be reduced to AF at their respective levels though.

I'd rather have an expansion with quests/missions/armors/battle systems/storyline, than one with 358193561 new zones that you have no reason to go to.

I'm sure the zones themselves are what take so much time to make, and it seems like that is the only thing the new expansions are going to lack (maybe they will even add new jobs, who knows.) Which means new expansions every few months instead of once a year or two or whatever.

I mainly buy expansions for the missions, quests, and storylines anyway. Most of the zones in FFXI are next to pointless as it is. No reason to just keep adding more when the game is massive enough as it is. I'd rather have more depth and things to actually do than more places to waste time running through.

Hopefully the downloads aren't too large though, because then people with slower connections probably wont be able to play until its finished downloading, if its downloaded via PlayOnline.

I wonder how long until the smart people of FFXI to realize that SE has no plans for a new expansion, and are just gona make mini-expansions.

Hopefully when they put 1 and 2 together we get some "FFXI IS DIEING!!1!!111twelve" threads, not seen many as of late.

There's so many useless zones in this game. I'm hoping this next patch gives us more reason to go around and kill stuff in various zones (Make each zone in the game give different EX items or something).

As for new zones...I like new zones. They bring pretties to my eyes. It would be somewhat sad to never see another Blueblade Fell, or sea... WotG has me realizing just how uninterested I am in the story, rehashing the same zones I've walked through for years. To be fair, that may have more to do with my complete lack of interest in the WotG storyline in general, rather than its setting.

More story never hurts, so long as it's good. The Mog and Shantotto arcs sound too gaudy for my tastes, but I'd enjoy being surprised.

While not necessarily containing as much content as traditional expansions, these episodic scenarios are designed to take anywhere from one to two months to complete.

Wait... One to two months to complete... As in, a bucket ton of missions or they'll be adding new ones every version update?
