WW/Alch 80/80 A good idea?

So after doing some searches I've concluded that:
A) There wasn't a lot of information
cool.gif All the info was from when the economy was massively inflated.

My main jobs are THF, WAR, NIN, and DRK. I've been considering crafts lately and I'm torn between cooking and WW/Alchemy(80/80), and I've got a few questions.

First off, I'm not just taking these crafts to support my jobs, I'd also like some profit. After taking GS to ~70 on another character, I'm not seeking "instant profit". I'm perfectly okay with small, fast, steady sales. That being said, I am looking to make some money. I know the "which craft makes more money?!!?" question is stupid, but I'm wondering more how arrow/bolt sales will compare to the steady flow you can make from cooking? On my server, arrows and bolts look to sell at a decent profit, and at a pretty good rate.

Arrows tend to sell a good amount each day, and not that much competition. It seems decently profitable to me, but I've heard people bitching about how crappy WW is lately. Are they just people looking for big profit, big risk sales?

Second, would 80/80 be the way to go if I chose WW and alch? I'm not really sure, but it seemed like the best way to go about reaching the highest tier in the most amount of components.

I think that's all I wanted to ask. Any updated insight would be appreciated =]

First off I'd advist you to continue with your Gold skill until you're happy with the amount of profit you can make with it. At 70~ you can make enough to support further skilling. Once at that happy level, use your profit to fund your other crafts.

These people either:

1. Have never crafted in their lives.
2. Crafted and not done research on how to make profit, thus got pissed.
3. Want to put you off the scent of profit so they have more for themselves.
4. Have something like smithing at 100 and only make big-ticket synths.

The majority of people will probably be either #1, or #4. Considering #4 make big amounts of gil when they HQ a big-ticket, you won't see a woodworker blow up a D-ingot or two on a bad run; just a few arrowheads or w/e (although, there is divine lumber in our cursed gear).

Everyone I know of who had chosen multiple post 60 crafts have regretted it. In my opinion, woodworking 100 and alchemy 60 would do you better.

Hmm, I'm looking over the recipe lists again. What would bringing WW to 100 from 80 add to t31 and t51? Not really sure if I want to craft staves. What else is there?

everything between 30 and 49 goes from HQ2 to HQ3. 50 to 69 goes from HQ1 to HQ2. 70-80 HQ0-HQ1. i think.

All true unless you count the +skill from equipment, furniture or support.
