Hi i am trying to figure out how can i put my raised chocobo to race and make bets on it?

the npc says i can race chocobo anytime but i read another post that says you need 10 chocobucks to race but i have 73 dont know where i am messing up at? can someone please assist

To enter into a C4 Chocobo race, you have to wait in the chocobo racing lobby until it's announced that a C4 race is available. Once it is, you can apply for a C4 race. Also, I think a prerequisite is that you have to have cleared the Novice Official Races. Not sure about that latter part though. Hope this helped.
