Well, this update's notes weren't that great.

Just like the other poster, I"m pissed how SE made ToAU Jobs wait up to 2 years for theri relic, then they just throw DNC/SCH a year later. Also at the price change, since I farmed those Beastmen weapons from Castle Zhavl(Sp) when I was low on cash. And I never once seen RMT farm them.

The RMT on Bismarcked usually farmed beast blood in zitah, where I usually farm for cuttings + moss + beast blood. Anyone know vendor prices for the blood now? I aint been bothered to check incase it's dropped way too low.

What do you guys think about these for SAM in merit parties? It's definitely no Tomoe or Leviathan's Couse, but there isn't much else for SAM as far as Polearms go, especially ones that aren't rare/ex. The only thing that concerns me (besides the DMG), is the delay. Would it break a good 6 hit build? Perhaps not even worth switching a GK out for these in the end. The accuracy is pretty to look at, at least.

Anyone have the new price on Black Ink? I was actually able to make good money selling that to NPC instead of the AH, one of my main ways to make money in the game - i guess that is gone too? I used to get 306/ea from Nation NPC. It was nice when the AH was completely overstocked.

Can anyone confirm whether or not the casket drops have to be from easy prey mobs or higher?

Does SE realize, that on most other games honest people also sell junk drops to npcs to make money? even if it wasn't much, it was a good way to make some gil when you were out. They are really great at not thinking like the players when it comes to their decisions.

I'd love for somebody present on the Dev Panel to confront them with that very question: why harm the honest players to swat a couple RMTs?

yeah, when i was playing wow, that was actualy how i got my mount, i scammed people out of the 16 slot bags, and i just kept crap i found on ANY mob i killed, and eventualy i got my gold, admittedly, i also farmed silk cloth, but, most of it was from crap

also, on a more ffxi related note

i also usualy keep colibri feathers and their beaks when i merit pt at the greater colibri camp...i can usualy get 2 or 3k from feathers alone if i dont got alot of stuff in my bag

Caskets can be found on any level of mob, too weak - IT, I cannot confirm if they come from NMs or not though since the few I have killed so far have not dropped a casket ~


EDIT: Those locked 1s are friggin confusing, or maybe I'm too tired to come close to unlocking em

I've gotten one locked casket, from an EP Evil Weapon, ended up taking too long to try to figure out the combination and it disappeared, gotten unlocked casket from too weak

Locked = Brown
Unlocked = Blue

Edit: Just got a locked chest from a too weak, but phailed to open it...
