Come on what the hell is up with this. You can only get Nomad Moogle Shield by going to Fan Festival 2008. That is really retarded do to the fact that there was only a limited amount of tickets. There should really be a way to be able to get this other then going to Fan Festival 2008.

I'm pretty sure every fanfest they release some unique item you can only get from attending. I don't know what the moogle shield is like but they have never been nothing more then town gear normally.

The whole point is that they're sentimental items, apparently the OP fails to have the intelligence to discern that.

Im not sure what the shield does, i think its a moogle costume?
Theres 2 fanfest's one in japan and one in american. Both give different but similar items normally, i think this year it was Moogle Shield and Nomad Moogle Shield.

If you want one so bad, here. It's cheaper than flying to FanFest and paying for the hotel.
Ebay Moogle Shield
Here is what it is.

The Japanese Fanfest 2008, or Vanafest '08, they gave out a stuffed Chocobo furniture if you correctly guessed the winning Chocobo in a race they held.
I have yet to find a picture of that. ><

The people who care for furnishings are the kind who actually care about having the real item.
I would know. =P

It's more of a "The Sims" thing than wanting the real item. (Though I wouldn't mind a real stuffed Chocobo if I can find a decent one.)
I had too much fun with The Sims decorating the house and customizing it. If FFXI ever got that close in customizing your own little abode, I would have gone all out. XD
The Sims is one of my favorite PC games and I'm hoping Sims 3 turns out to be just as good as 2.

Moogle's Japery
Moogle's Japery is an enchantment effect gained from the use of a Town Moogle Shield or a Nomad Moogle Shield. This can have one of three effects:
* When used in town, party gains +25% movement speed.
* When used outside of town, extends the duration of active food effects for the entire party.
* Low chance of a 'miss' effect, causing the user to be changed into a Moogle.
o Moogle costume lasts for 10 minutes.
The quickening effect lasts for 60 minutes, and reacts in much the same way as the effect from Sprinter's Shoes.
