I am curious if anyone who recently leveled any of the crafts would be able to post how much it generally costs 1-100 with the way the economy is now. I used to play a few years ago when Peacock Charm was 20-30 million gil or so, so you can imagine how the economy was back then, and I got to roughly 75 goldsmithing on 25-30mil (I'm fully aware how much more money it is post 70).
I'm interested in leveling it again on my new account (lost the old one due to the lovely somepage flash thingy) and was wondering if anyone has any idea how much generally it would cost to take Goldsmithing to 100. All the servers generally have the same prices now, even if its off a bit a rough estimate is good enough.
Also, feel free to post the cost of other crafts as well, since I'd like this thread to benefit more people than just myself.
Thanks

Instead of saying "I'll guess moar gil than you have. Especially if you have to ask a question like this." I'll say "Go to wiki and ffxiah and work it out."

Xur, stop being mean to ppl!
And yeah, there isnt a single person on tis planet who can answer that question for u
Allow me to explain:
1. Some people power level, while others farm
2. Some buy mats from AH, while others buy from NPC
3. NPC prices goes up and down that when you actually calculate it in long term, makes quite a bit of difference
4. Different people might take different crafts to skill up on.
5. Different people get different skill up rates, thus some people need to buy more mats than others

I guess I should have asked for someone's personal experience when it came to leveling a craft - oh wait, I did. I don't really mind if its powerleveling or not, I just need a rough estimate. I mean, do you still think it will cost something like 60million gil to get goldsmithing to 100 with the way the economy is? I'm sure thats a no, but its still something I'm interested in hearing.
The exact cost I'm not interested in; a nice estimate is good enough for me. Using FFXIAH and wiki is fine, but I still need to estimate the amount of synths per skillup which takes a bit of time, when I can just ask someone who experienced it first hand, and their luck, how much it cost them.

Last I heard ~50% 0-60 on 0.1 to 0.3s, 60+ ~25% on 0.1s only. Now work it out.
And there is no such thing as a nice estimate in crafting. One level costing 1M becomes 0.1 costing 2M very easily. Don't waste you time asking. Just level it or don't.

If you powerlevel goldsmithing 0-100, you better have like fucking 200mil and an ability to DOMINATE AH sales or you're fucked.
Now, i can say that i did do goldsmithing over a course of 3 years, it cost me a cuntload of gil, but mostly just time. Are you after a number like straight money spent on buying mats or -resales? I can say that 60mil is a really low number even by todays standards though not unreasonable most likely would cost more at least with my luck.
I leveled pre-inflation with about 20mil starting funds and i managed to get to 70-75 before my funds ran dry And in the 90's it gets far worse when your skillup item becomes 500k-1mil and you ruin a TRIPLE risk of popping the synth because you need bead > O ring > bead + O ring synths and then there is always a chance of an unwanted HQ of a titons ring all of which would put you out of a large chunk of change, and does happen fairly frequently...
It's really impossible to tell though Especially cuz i leveled pre-inflation, during inflation aswell as post inflation so yah, just go buy some crystals and some mats level something to 100 and do the math yourself, thats a shitload of math and frankly no one will be willing to do all that for you.

Honestly, a reply like this is what I was looking for. Someone's personal experience. Thanks.
