I used the search function. And didnt find anything. See I play FFXI on my Xbox but without an HDTV it looks horrible. I do have a nice PC tho and wanted to play on it. But I cant just find the client. I have the game, Bought all expansions. And just want to be able to log in on my PC. I just need the software. but I dont know anyone with teh disc. I dont think SE offers it all the expansions with the game on the trial if so can ya gimmie a link I looked and couldnt find.

Im just asking for help if you know of a site (even a torrent download) that has all the software(game + 4 expansions) together can ya hand me a link to it?

Client? i think your confusing ffxi with one of those korean games that come out ever 2 days. You can download the trial version from somewhere, and that should work for all imediate purposes, but if your not already playing the game, go buy it....otherwise SE will charge you about $10+ per key for expansions.

No Offense but you really must not understand what I am trying to say. Hmm I guess I worded it funny. Let me re say it.
I already bought FFXI and all expansions.
I play on Xbox 360.
If I had a PS2 with Pol, FFXI, ect. On it I could log in like I normally do and play it (the CD keys are tied to your account)
If I had a PC with FFXI, Pol, ect. (expansion software) I can log in to ffxi normally and play it.

I am looking for the software. FFXI RotZ CoP ToAU WotG PoL. For I can sign into my normal account and still play. The only things that wont save a messages and Macros (unless you store them then load them)

Most other MMOs, WoW, CoH, WAR, ect ect even Steam. Everything is tired to your account. You can download the game clients. Which is the software and when you launch it. It will ask for you account name and password. Now if you paid for anything it should be tied to your account and allow you to play if its active/paid for.

What I am doing is the equivilant of my PC broke, got new one. Lost Install CDs need FFXI software again. I already have an active paid for account Just want the software.

Now the only way most people do this is by re torrenting the software. I found a few sites and wanted to let KI know them. Just in case anyone else is in the same boat as me.
And I was just asking is there another way.

Check torrent sites, SE doesnt offer a download anywhere.

Why you would buy this for your 360 is beyond me, but if you cant find it via torrent, get it for 20 bucks at gamestop. That or check criags list or try and find someone in your area with all the disks.

Never buy a game on a console if your PC can play it.

You have a good point but

1) What if I didnt have a good PC till now?

2) I would like to be able to alt-tab out of the game without it sucking. Its really nice to have the game on one screen and like a guide or info on another can just hop back and forth (like right now I am farming and typing this) Sure I can do it with windower but I heard its a pain to get it working and it is kinda, against the rules.

3) I was use to FFXI on the PS2. I have no idea how to play on keyboard and for FFXI its more effective on a controller. And cant afford a PC controller / switchblade atm.

With a good HDTV I dont see much of a reason why not to play on 360 except for pure preference. Except my friend did say he had lagless dynamis which I cannot ever believe. And maybe some cool Addons. Or other minor things but gameplay wise meh I dont see why not.

Doesnt really require a good PC to play really. Even intergrated chips play it fine. With windower you can alt-tab out, but you need to have another program running, its annoying as shit but meh it works. Also you cant go to desktop, youll need to use the folder. Everyone uses windower, if you feel like distance and tparty are cheating you can always turn them off.

You can buy a USB-PS2/xbox/whatever dongle for like 10 bucks. You can also just buy a USB controller for like 10 bucks. Not really breaking the bank. How ever IMO I find going into compact keyboard mode and just using WASD better. Did it back when I used to play on PS2 too.

With a good enough CPU you can have a lagless dynamis. Though its not really lag, its just low FPS. With a HDTV you still have a much lower resolution then what you can get on the PC. Acctually you can have it over twice the resolution than 360.

You have good points but Windower seems like a lot of hassle for meh results. I had a PC for a while now but liked it on my xbox like I said but I also want to try it on the PC hence me asking for torrents / downloads lol. Imo it seems like a lot of hassle for just s lil better resolution when my old HDTV had fine resolution. and some small addons that prolly dont do much. but again Im trying to try it all out and see whats up see if I like it better and see if Windower works good.

Besides windower what are some good addons for FFXI? One in particular I want is how can you check your FPS. I liked to know what FPS I am running at. Also what is a good site to get windower and have some good instructions?

You dont need windower to set the res past what the game lets you normally. Windower.net and that has everything you need.

As for the whole "OMG it might have a virus", it's not hard to scan the files before installing..

However, it'd be a lot easier to just buy the game again. The Vanadiel 2008 collection is $19.99 at most places and includes the original game plus all expansions out so far including Wings of the Goddess. 20 bucks isn't that much considering you're gonna pay a minimum of 13 bucks a month to play the game anyway.

Also, linking play-asia.com isn't all that helpful since he hasn't mentioned being in Asia and they import games meaning a ) more expensive and b ) Japanese client.

Torrenting ffxi client, is the same as borrowing the cds from a friend. Since u need to pay for an account, and then pay to play monthly. They arent realy loosing money..

But I have serveral copies of ffxi, on pc NA ver, pc EU ver, pc JP ver and on 360 EU ver. Since they don't cost that much i just bought em.

Why you would buy a US game from an Asian import website when every store in America should carry it however, I do not know. I went out of curiosity to that site though, entered Final Fantasy 11, FFXI, and Final Fantasy on separate attempts and didn't find the game (though I restricted the search to games only, since I was getting OSTs before..). Sure, I only looked at the first page of results, but torrent sites have better search engines than Play-asia, apparently. Torrent sites ftw.

No one is "trying to help" when they bring up the legality of something. Most laws are dumb and only meant to benefit douchebags.
