yes as Rikuss said most old school players are gone. I still play, but sparingly.

Still a lot of people playing, the game hasnt even started to dry up yet, but you probably wont recognize most people/names anymore.

The first few years, FFXI was a different game entirely. It was like a different age. Reputations/rumors are watered down and there arent many "Notorious Assholes" anymore. Things have really changed a lot.

It's just so weird how, i remember the good ol' days...when there was no claim delay...there was always drama, but it was funny drama......from flailing nidd, to stealing KB @ 1% even with carby on...


I just wish i still had the friends i had back then, and we were all still playing together, strong as ever.

But i guess time goes on, and things change, and people change....And us old-schoolers...are just stuck here reminicisin'.

I deactivated my account quite a while ago when my real life got too busy for an mmo. Still, I had such a great time in FFXI especially at the beginning when everything was new.
