Ok, this might be the funniest shit I have ever seen. I was watching CNN and they ran a piece on a Russian professor who believes that the United States will fall in 2010 (that's next year). The story seems to be a hit in Putin's Russia, who's people seem to believe almost anything. Enjoy...

Sorry, I couldn't find the story on CNN's website. This was the best site running the piece.

I want everyone to take note of the lulzy divisions drawn upon existing state lines with little regard to national, state, and international demographics.

Wishful thinking at its best. I didn't realize Russia was still bitter about selling Alaska.

Probably moreso now because of all the potential oil they could have had to themselves in Alaska.

Russian oil tycoons are making billions if not trillions of dollars in revenue.

I was noticing that too. Do you know how big of a difference there is between Florida and Texas? Shit, Texas doesn't get along with HALF the people they border (LA, OK, AR).

Really...? I've heard Russian Politicians use that as their fear-mongering center point - To take the back what was stolen to them by the Americans. Unite against a common enemy and suddenly things don't seem as bad as they used to, etc.

----

As a side note, I'm just waiting for someone to use this as a "LOOK! EVEN TEH RUSSKIES KNOW WE SUK! SKY IS FALLING!" ad nasum.

LOL! this is awesome.
But it would never happen, we'd rain a hot white storm of nukes, like Peter North spooging into a ceiling fan.

I didn't doubt that this school of thought existed among Russian Academics. Especially Ex-KGB types schooled in the soviet era.

Mr. Panarin's résumé includes many years in the Soviet KGB, an experience shared by other top Russian officials.

There are occasionally ex-KGB types like this rolling out of Russia every now and then. Case in point, Soviet defector Yuri Bezmenov back in the 80's who sort of reminds me of this guy.

It's pretty lulzy. . . OR IS IT! *Dramatic Chord*

I like how the divisions are just controlled by whatever is in it's general direction.

I love the division lines, putting WVA in the same division as NY was totally likely

Reminds me of "The end of the world"...

"Us Californians just have to worry about California breaking off the United States. To go hang with Hawaii. ...Alaska can come too."

WVA has lots of coal. Though they have nothing in common culturally, the sort of economic turmoil that would result from a condition like this occurring would insure that NY would be kissing WVA's ass around November or so. Assuming that we still had some form of common currency to trade it for that is.

I'm pretty sure the French are still pissy about the Louisiana purchase and the filthy reds upset over Alaska surprises you? Then again, frenchies are pissed about a lot of things.

I'm so petitioning the future leaders of the CNAR to make "Hail to the victors" our new national anthem... which of course will piss off our Ohio neighbors and cause a small scale civil war, resulting in them seceding and joining the AA/EU. Oh yea, and each side will fight with Gundams...

Lol, you live on the east coast. You're already kissing WVA's ass. Unless they've switched your city over to hamster power while I wasn't paying attention.

I refuse to ever join Canada. However, I don't really want to leave Michigan. What to do.
