Earlier today I saw a buffalo being chased by three ranchers... any details on this?

East Saruta-baruta is where I saw them, but I'd imagine they're outside all the cities if previous years are any clue.

Traded 30 individual ginger cookies, 36 individual la theine cabbages, and a full stack of cinna-cookies, and all I got were some lousy buffs from those ranchers.
The rancher store they mention is in Ru'lude Gardens, Jeuno at the fountain. She doesn't sell you anything event related as far as I can tell...
Unless you gotta feed those ranchers a cheese sandwich.
Edit: Frustration after frustration. Traded in 1 water crystal and I get a bottle of milk followed by 3 stacks of fire, 2 earth, 4 wind, and some ice for nothing. I go trade in 2 stacks of selbina milk and got the New Year's Gift.
For the Battledore: nearly smashed my computer in rage after accidentally getting the wrong choice thinking it didn't matter. A friend recommended using Silent Oils as he went 2/2 for trades. I went 2/3 getting another milk and the second New Year's Gift.
Make sure you ask the kid for what's in his pocket, the second choice.
