Use Morrigan's Robe over Genie Weskit if you have access to it.

The difference is minimal and arguably Morrigan's is superior anyways. The point is you use Morrigan's on normal nukes, and likely idle in it as well - you will carry it no matter what. Genie, on the other hand, would serve no other purpose other than elemental skill nuking if you do want to carry it. This costs you 1 inventory slot if you carry it for what is essentially no difference in resist rate and less damage.

Inventory is precious; always try to find ways to cut gear with is repetitive or has minimal gain. This is a perfect example.

are you dense? ever heard of 320/120? getting that with morrigan's robe delivers less dmg output than genie weskit. with morrigan's robe, you HAVE to use sorc. petasos or some other form of elemental skill in another spot, thus losing INT/MAB. with genie weskit, you only need wzd.gloves+1 & elementaltorque/prudence torque based on which staff (gloves+torque for anything other than ice nuking).

you say that as if wearing gloves/torque ISN'T wearing ele skill in other slots.

But i digress, In the case where resists are never an issue. (certainly not at tiamat) the WH+1,Ptorque,Gwesit comes out slightly ahead on dmg potential. (not even gonna consider neck honestly, anything you can nuke in p.torque w/ weskit, so can a M robe mage, so it really comes down to hat/body)

Summary:
WH+1/G Weskit:
+6 ele skill
+5 int
+7 MaB

SP/MorriRobe:
+10 ele skill
+8 int
+5 MaB

thus its:
2 MaB vs 4 skill and 3 int.
If resists never come into play, the 2 MaB wins, BUT it only take one resist to change that to favor MRobe, which should see around 3% less chance of resist.

If you did the "2int = 1 mab" conversion - it's 4 skill vs 1 int. 1 int will obviously produce bigger nukes overall, but which do you think will see less resists?

using Tiamat as an example here.

say you are having an awesome day, and resists are floored.
say there are 2 mages nuking, both haveing floored resists, one in weskit/WH+1 , other in Mrobe/SP, the rest of thier gear , buffs and merits are identical.
Mage1 (weskit/WH+1) burst2 is 705
Mage2 Mrobe/Spetasos) burst 2 is 700
both nuke exaclty 50 times, but mage 2 has only 10 resists for 1/2 dmg and mage 1 has 11 for 1/2 dmg. all other nukes are full dmg.
final dmg:
Mage1 (39*705)+11(705/2) = 27,495 + 3877.5 = 31,372.5
Mage2 (40*700)+10(700/2) = 28,000 + 3500 = 31,500

both nuke exaclty 25 times, but mage 2 has only 5 resists for 1/2 dmg and mage 1 has 6 for 1/2 dmg. all other nukes are full dmg.
final dmg:
Mage1 (19*705)+6(705/2) = 13,395 + 2115 = 15,510
Mage2 (20*700)+5(700/2) = 14,000 + 1750 = 15,750

When you are fighting resistant mobs 1 less resist can and often will decide who does the most dmg, even if the guy w/ less resists does less/nuke.

Rarely do i see BLM's with every piece of gear lol. Only a few.

Yeah Liseth got pwned. I have regrets and I'm sorry for being a part of all this Salvage exploit dealies but shit happens life goes on. I made ONE mistake by taking a duped 35 Macha's Slops all my other stuff was 100% legit, but I guess I shouldn't have taken a bite of that apple. Oh well, I had fun while it lasted.

In regards to the Sorcerer's Ring comment the only reason I didn't carry one with me was mainly space issues, carrying 4-5 gear sets for BLM on top of HQ Staves left me often at 68/70 inventory (I had a lot of difficulty getting down below 60 inventory most of the time), having to lug around another set of Zenith just didn't appeal to me so much especially for something that didn't really raise my damage all that much and lowered my HP. I pulled hate a lot as it was, I didn't want to add insult to injury by walking around with lowered HP and get pwned in one hit when mobs always ended up wailing on me anyway.
