This has been bugging me for a while and since I'm asked to go blu a lot for DD and the ablity to SS the PT it's started to chew at me more. Is the only mod for Diamondhide blue magic skill or is there a secondary mod like Stoneskin has MND? Just thinking on those times we do runs that have massive AOE spam if there is anyway I can enhance this beyond just stacking to 312 Skill. Places I've checked has only stated "Seems to be: 2/3*Blue skill". Just wondering if this is the conclusive absolute, or only what people have tested thus far on it?

Tried to find time to test it myself but between work and events I haven't had alot of free time lately which is the primary reason I asked. Last Dynamis-Quifim I did my pt was only one who went whole night without any deaths, but on kraken the damage the AOE's did would remove it in one go so I was trying to see if there was anyway I could try and make this more potent so to speak in those type of situations. Usually during events I'm too busy keeping track of other things to constantly tinker with different setups and test their effectiveness. About the only thing I've tested stat wise other then +skill is +vit (+33) which didn't seem to do anything either in the way of enhancing the spell.

some guy breaks it down for ya in the talk page for diamondhide on wiki
* Quickly calculated that with 276 skill (w/o AF body) BLU stoneskin caps @ 184 damage.
* 194 with AF body (+15 skill)
* 197 with AF body and AFv2 head (+20 skill)
* 204 with AF body and 16 skill from merits (+31 skill)
* 208 with AF body, AFv2 head, and 16 skill from merits (+36 skill) Angeluzun 10:25, 23 December 2008 (UTC)

Yes I know this, but there was no mention of other stats being tested either. Hence the reason why I said all the places I checked only stated skill equations in original post. I was curious of secondary modifiers had ever been tested mainly out of curiosity since I didn't have alot of time to test it myself since consciously becoming aware of just how often I would end up casting the spell. I did search around before deciding to post this, don't confuse that, this was just to verify through others experiences that there is indeed no other modifiers to the spell. Been 75blu since before there was AF, you just don't always fine-tune particulars of a job until you start using it more exclusively is mainly what this whole topic is about, but that has been checked on 2 stats already so I'm inclined to state that I think my question was more then adequately answered when someone went out and tested another stat that I would not normally have through the macros I used when casting this as is.

Additional info:
It's capped at 200 damage, just like Titan's Earthen Ward.
So anything higher than 300 blue magic skill would not add more damage absorbed.

Stone gorget only effects Stoneskin, not Earthen Ward or Diamondhide. So I'm going to assume the same with the mufflers.

Enhances Stoneskin effect, which is what Diamondhide gives, yeah?

I don't there has been actual tests on Enhances Stoneskin on Diamondhide, the reason it doesn't effect Earthen Ward is because the Summoner doesn't use the Stoneskin effect, Titan does.

The receipient would have to be wearing the gorget or mufflers if we're talking about people who receive effect. In case of a blu, who is just casting on Diamondhide on himself, if he were wearing the mufflers or gorget, I'd expect he'd receive the boost? I need to pop the gorget NM and check.

If may not be the receipient, but the caster. As there is no "targetable" stoneskin other than on one's self there is no way to check that statement.

Targetable shouldn't be necessary to test. AOE stoneskin effect from Diamondhide or Earthen Ward should be testable just as easily as the tester did before on both the caster and receipient (assuming they both have gorget/mufflers).
