I went away from game when this JA was released, so I am getting used to people asking for this that and whatever.
Certain events, I see it as a PITA, but other times I see it as a godsend when I don't have to ask everyone to separate so they don't mix songs.
So, in your opinion, do you find it one or the other, or both depending on the event?
Pianissimo; Godsend or PITA?

As long as people understand that casting songs takes time and that the time that you're spending casting all those songs is time that you're not spending removing status ailments, curing or lullabying crowd it's all right.
Past that people get spoiled and pretty much make no sense (read as: "Gimme Minne before I cannonball and immediately after, gimme X-songs!"). That is what gets on my nerves.

except when I have to cast a song on a tank fighting a mob with a nasty aoe, I refuse to use the stupid thing.

I've found it helpful while meriting (to get Ballad where I need it, I don't cater to people's whims because I'm too busy), I rarely use it elsewhere. Had our Amano Samurai ask for Minuets on a Chariot the other day, so it was helpful that I could put those on him without playing around with positioning for 3 minutes

I used it in merits so I don't have to run over to the Rdm to ballad him/her and yet still keep march on myself. Also good for meleeing

Pianissimo isn't a PITA, people are a PITA.
A blu has to understand that there are 5 job classes around that can take his position in the party and only require two songs for the entire fight.
Who do they think the party would rather have to replace, a brd or a blu?

He's referring to the post somewhere up there about the blu asking for minne before cannonballing I think.

Probably a Blu asking for ballad when every other melee gets Min/March.

A good blu doesnt need ballad. You must be partying with gimps.

Godsend, I've bene playing BRD for over 4 years, and it's probably the best thing that has ever happened to BRD (next to nightingale & troubadour)

I love it. I sometimes dont have time to sing all the songs everyone wants and still keep a chain going, so I just blow them off till I come back around. But I think its a godsend.

Well then I guess all Blue Mages on Valefor are gimps, cause they all ask for ballad, lol.

Or it could be a trend. One asks for it, then the others want it as well.

I've had Blue Magi run back towards me when they're low on MP and need a Ballad. This was while leveling up, though, the only Blue Mage I've partied with since hitting 75 Bard was the main healer in our party, so obviously he was getting Ballad. He did a damned good job, too, it's a shame how few Blue Magi realize how criminally efficient their healing spells are.

I just experienced that yesterday in a party, the blu ran back when I was singing ballad for the whm. I commented to the blu that he was awesome for doing that, saving me from running back and forth for one song. He attributed that to "pay attention". I agreed. It sure does make singing for a living a lot easier.
