I've been doing the same.. maybe a little longer and this can be a big bonus for us, but these up and coming BRD's are so lazy that they are not learning their ranges and angles.

When I watch parties and see brd's afraid to know the range of certain instruments then I realize they are using these little abilities too much and becoming very lazy.

playing BRD (atleast a good brd) is skill .. i sort of used to be proud that I could chain pull 30k an hour and still manage to keep the correct buffs on the correct people without having them to think about moving around for my ease.

Godsend, I've bene playing BRD for over 4 years, and it's probably the best thing that has ever happened to BRD (next to nightingale & troubadour)

I know my range perfectly, not really that hard (even before windower existed). Just like you know when a song is about to end and your new spell hits at the exact time the old one wears off. BRD is just about repetition and the longer you play it the easier it gets

It gets a lot harder to put Ballad on WHMs now when they go in for Cura/Esuna and move around all the time... Pianissimo has really helped me to keep the flow going.

I've been playing around with this skill a lot here recently

if you setup it's own macro setup and use it like voke.. works pretty nice on targets

Its a godsend for Dark Ixion, pain in the ass for anything else.

I don't think I've ever used it for another fight.
