I was looking over some of my old archeological textbooks and came across an item that would actually make sense in regards to being implemented.
Atlatl: used by paleolithic native americans this tool was specifically used to add strength and distance to throwing spears, essentially used to bring down big game animals such as mastodons and other Ice age critters.
Atlatl: (FFXI version) enhances the defense down effect of angons as well as duration, nothing drastic toss on another 15 seconds to Angon effect and maybe bump the def down to 35-40%.

Damn that's a really good idea actually. The stat increase you give might be a little overpowered but still, any buff to angon would be awesome.

On second thought the stat increase would need to be fairly uber to be usable. Considering it would need to take up the ranged weapon slot and would need to be equiped with angons you would be unable to swap out angons for any other stat increasing ammo piece least you loose your tp.

they could always add a small stat bonus to atlatl's, you know acc +3 attack +3 maybe strenght +2 etc

Effectively knocking out 1 merit from Angon and an extra -15% down seems overpowered.
+3sec/-2% seems way more likely.
+3sec/-2% seems way more likely.

What slot is this going in anyway? Can't see why you'd need to wear it full time unless it wipes TP (oh snap).

considering that an atlatl was held in a persons hand to aid in launching the spear, it could easily be implemented in the ranged weapon slot

Making throwing ammo act like both throwing and ranged ammo may be simple enough, but no way in hell SE will be bothered to do such a thing.

The TP loss was my main concern. Any such item would probably be a ranged weapon with the angon as the ammo.
Unless they made an exception with this equip; considering its not a ranged weapon that can return TP I can see TP being saved during/after gear swaps.

Increases "Jump" damage
Att+5
Lvl W/e
Drg, War, Pld, Drk, ect
And increases Jump by adding another 2 dmg onto base weapon damage. Like Thal's 94+2 on jumps
