Resto druids are cheap and only people who can't play a real class play them. Its for noobs who suck but want to think they are tough.
Lol, seriously? Actually, I would argue knowing how to play a druid in GENERAL requires a lot of skill because of our 'jack of all trades' quality. We are the only class besides paladins that can heal, tank, and dps, and we do every one in very different ways. Our class also requires utilizing everything at our disposal.
If you think they're 'cheap', we're easy to kill. You just have to know how. I imagine you're one of those people who qq's that Paladins and DK's are OP, right? Or may be you rolled one because, "ZOMG THEY'RE SO OP." Well, that's because you don't understand their class well enough to know how to get them in a tight spot. For resto druids, you have to stun me right before/when LB procs, after I've blown my other cooldowns (Swiftmend and Nature's Swiftness). This means that my other hots won't outheal your damage while I'm stunned, and while I'm stunned, there won't be a 'big heal' coming (LB -- which usually saves me when I am stunned). So, it requires timing. Don't blow your good shit before I'm at that point, or I'll be able to heal through almost anything you throw at me. Also, keep an eye out for Nature's Grasp. It's one of the things at our disposal to take off the pressure by rooting you, getting away, and casting a decent heal, and, most importantly, more hots. Keep in mind that Barkskin can be cast even while we're stunned.
I don't think I'm tough. I know I have my limitations, and there are plenty of classes that I can literally do NOTHING about. Sure, I can try to pillar Manaburn, but when it's not an option, they can own me. (That said, going into any other form without a mana pool makes that point mute.) I can try to keep my distance from a warlock, but sometimes there's nothing you can do about constant fears. Paladins, however, are usually easy for me to survive for some reason... They tend to blow their stuns at the wrong times...
Like anything, you need a good understanding of the class you're up against to know how to take them down. This is why people who have multiple jobs at a cap level (in any game) are more likely to grasp the mechanics of a game much better than someone who has only taken one role, ever. At this point you'll probably tell me you have multiple 80's.
Anyway, this isn't about WoW... So why are you bringing it up? Oh well, I guess I fed the fire.
