This is the official samurai history written by Square Enix. It was sold in japanese books long ago. Enioy.
The italic comments are not in the book, but are personal comments.

Samurais are exceptional warriors that study the military arts of the East, and fight with incredibly sharp swords, called Katana.

Myochin Sune-Ate
These shin-guards protect the legs below the knees. They are fixed to the leg with leather straps.

Myochin Haidate
In conjunction with the protective thigh guards, these leather hakama cover the upper legs. They are complemented by the planks that hang down from the Myochin Domaru.

Myochin Kote
Kote are tube-shaped gloves that cover the forearm. The outsides are thick and able to absorb attacks, while the insides are thinner and help one to keep a firm grip on their weapon.

Myochin Domaru
This is the body piece of the powerful Myochin armor set. It is thought the unique design of the sleeves were to guard from attacks from below while fighting from atop a mount. Myochin is the name of a famous clan of armor craftsmen from the East.

Myochin Kabuto
The fierce horns on the front on this helmet allow it to easily deflect attacks.

Souls Bound to Arms

Twenty years ago, just before the close of the Crystal War. Obscured in the shadows of history, behind the fall of Castle Zvahl, there was a small country that was destroyed. That country name was The Marquisate of Tavnazia. The pirates of Norg bear the symbol of that forgotten nation upon their flag.

During the fierce war, Norg chief pirate, Gilgamesh, escaped from Tavnazia on ships bound for the mainland, but many of them were smashed against the shores of Valkurm Dunes. At the behest of Gilgamesh, you must perform the ritual of Yomi Okuri on the wandering souls using Yomotsu Hirasaka, a special holy sword.

If that were not enough, it is discovered that a sacred helmet, with demons sealed within, has been stolen from Norg. You must go to Palborough Mines to eliminate this robber and retrieve the kabuto. If the seal is disturbed, the demons inside may awaken once again.

Ayame

Ayame is the fourth-ranked member, and lone woman, of the Mythril Musketeers. After studying the ways of the Samurai in Norg, she left to become the youngest of the musketeers. However, she often butts heads with the other youngest member, Naji, and the two have become strong rivals.

Ayame resides in Port Bastok with her father, Ensetsu, and younger sister, Kaede. Her mother, Yomi, developed her skills as a Ninja in Norg, where she met and wed Ensetsu, but she died soon after bearing their second child, Kaede. Little Ayaya, as Gilgamesh lovingly calls her, came to Bastok to fight on the front lines, but currently just does work for the Mythril Musketeers. Her weapon, the katana, is the symbol of her ideals, and the medium through which her faith and conviction flows.

Abilities

Meikyo Shisui
This secret technique allows a Samurai to draw out power from the depths of their very being and release it in bursts. A Samurai must make their mind clear like an unclouded mirror, and their spirit serene like the surface of water. Hence, ˇ clear mirror, still water.

Warding Circle
Samurai pride themselves on the destruction of Demons, and they can lend this power to their comrades by using this magical barrier.

Third Eye
By opening the mind eye, one can read an enemy movements and dodge their next attack.

Meditate
A Samurai can close their eyes and focus to unify the energy of mind, body, and soul to increase their power.

Weapons and Armor

Kamewari
Long ago, a certain master swordsman used this blade while pursuing a robber who hid behind a giant jar. With one slice, he cut through the bottle and the robber so perfectly that not a single drop of water leaked and the robber died before he could even realize what had happened.

The master swordsman is Itou Ittousai, a legendary Japanese warrior who studied under the Ittou ryuu school of one sword fighting. As a further side note, Nitou ryuu, or two sword fighting, is the Ninja ability we know as dual wield.ť

Tonbo-Giri
This tip of this spear from the East is so sharp, it is said a dragonfly once rested upon its edge and was instantly cut in twain. The weapon is so famous and recognizable, that the mere sight of it will provoke the wrath of enemies.

Tonbo-Giri is an actual spear of Japanese legend, used by Samurai Honda Tadakatsu, who served under Tokugawa Ieyasu. The anecdote is also from Japanese history, and gave the spear its name, dragonfly Šcutter.

Shigeto Bow
This ancestral, Eastern bow is crafted from several materials, strengthened with bamboo, and given a lacquer coating. It has a unique balance to it, which can throw off accuracy, but those who master its style will truly excel in their precision.

Ochiudo's Kote
There was once a noble clan of warriors were defeated in battle and fled to live in a small, isolated village. These gloves are said to contain their rage and are passed from generation to generation. Written upon them is their creed, Fortune favors the brave.

Shura Togi
Plates cut from divine lumber are used to construct this special kimono, but before it can be worn, its curse must be undone. Those who don the completed armor become a physical incarnation of carnage, casting their lives aside for the sake of their unstoppable compulsion to defeat their enemies.

There are a group of Yagudo known as the Tengu that live in the Far East, making it a potential homeland for the Yagudo.

Amanomurakumo

A Relic GK Hailing from the Far East. It was brought to the middlelands by Noillurie. She was the owner during the Crystal War. You can find her in Sandy (S) and in Vunkerl Inlet (S) during campaign.
She controls the Knights of the Red Rose.
Quote: After years of training in the Far East, I return only to find my nation burning at the hands of the infernal beastmen hordes. The heathens shall pay dearly... My work has only just begun.

Original History: Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi (草薙の剣?) is a legendary Japanese sword as important to Japan's history as Excalibur is to Britain's, and is one of three Imperial Regalia of Japan. It was originally called Ama-no-Murakumo-no-Tsurugi (天叢雲剣, "Sword of the Gathering Clouds of Heaven") but its name was later changed to the more popular Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi.

The history of the Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi extends into legend. According to Kojiki, the Japanese god Susa-no-o encountered a grieving family of kunitsukami ("gods of the land") headed by Ashinazuchi (足名椎?) in Izumo province. When Susa-no-o inquired of Ashinazuchi, he told him that his family was being ravaged by the fearsome Yamata-no-Orochi, an eight-headed serpent of Koshi, who consumed seven of the family's eight daughters and that the creature was coming for his final daughter, Kushinada-hime (奇稲田姫?). Susa-no-o investigated the creature, and after an abortive encounter he returned with a plan to defeat it. In return, he asked for Kushinada-hime's hand in marriage, which was agreed. Transforming her temporarily into a comb (one interpreter reads this section as "using a comb he turns into [masquerades as] Kushinada-hime") to have her company during battle, he detailed his plan into steps.

He instructed the preparation of eight vats of sake (rice wine) to be put on individual platforms positioned behind a fence with eight gates. The monster took the bait and put one of its heads through each gate. With this distraction, Susa-no-o attacked and slew the beast (with his sword Worochi no Ara-masa[1]). He chopped off each head and then proceeded to the tails. In the fourth tail, he discovered a great sword inside the body of the serpent which he called Ama-no-Murakumo-no-Tsurugi, which he presented to the goddess, Amaterasu to settle an old grievance.

Generations later, in the reign of the Twelfth Emperor, Keikō, Ama-no-Murakumo-no-Tsurugi was given to the great warrior, Yamato Takeru as part of a pair of gifts given by his aunt, Yamato-hime the Shrine Maiden of Ise Shrine, to protect her nephew in times of peril.

These gifts came in handy when Yamato Takeru was lured onto an open grassland during a hunting expedition by a treacherous warlord. The lord had fiery arrows to ignite the grass and trap Yamato Takeru in the field so that he would burn to death. He also killed the warrior's horse to prevent his escape. Desperately, Yamato Takeru used the Ama-no-Murakumo-no-Tsurugi to cut back the grass and remove fuel from the fire, but in doing so, he discovered that the sword enabled him to control the wind and cause it to move in the direction of his swing. Taking advantage of this magic, Yamato Takeru used his other gift, fire strikers, to enlarge the fire in the direction of the lord and his men, and he used the winds controlled by the sword to sweep the blaze toward them. In triumph, Yamato Takeru renamed the sword Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi (lit. "Grasscutter Sword") to commemorate his narrow escape and victory. Eventually, Yamato Takeru married and later fell in battle with a monster, after ignoring his wife's advice to take the Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi with him.

Well thats all i got for now, may look for some more stuff later^^
