Never had too much of a problem running video games on this comp... WoW, TF2, HL2... but with FFXI almost everything looks great. My character model, the environment, and spells. But not the mobs, NPCs, or other players. They are choppy as hell. I imagine this has something to do with Vista since Square has said this video card is compatible with FFXI using the same Catalyst driver I have with XP. Any solutions? Answers? This sucks!

Choppy how? As in, FPS remains up but other characters'/mobs' movement looks likes it's jittery rather than smooth-flowing?

There's an option to set animation frame rate in Main menu>>>Config>>>Misc 2 (I think that's the right one, it might be Misc 1) that will ratchet down the framerate on everything but the player. When it's turned all the way down, everything but the player will look choppy (like you've stated), and mobs will have fewer animations (Damselflies' wings won't be fluttering like they should be, for example).

If it's not that, no idea what it could be.
