Hello everyone just curious about Paladins role at Ballista today I did 60 cap Ballista, to me I played decent game I scored nice amount of points and died only once and got mythril chevron as well thing what bothers me is some JP player started to spam party chat leave,so I try asked to him wth I did wrong? I did cure my team members guarded rook as good as I could, well ofc I tried to score much too was he pissed? cuz I did fine or wth was it? everyone are JP in this Ballista LS I tried to ask him what was prob but never got answer...

Pretty much. JP are not on friendly terms with us in ballista, so they have no problem building that language barrier a few miles higher.

Did you have really annoying macros or <call> in your JAs? If not then they were probably just being critical dicks. Also what was your sub?

One time a looooong time ago when Ulli was still a 500 hour respawn we were camping against these JP people that did ballista. So we claimed, they pulled statues and bound them on top of us to spam thunderstrike. So we lost claim and then did the same to them. After about two hours of MPKfest, it was 5 AM, we started throwing out "Hiroshima and Nagasaki ooooowned" comments and the JP cried so hard the GM killed Ulli for them and they got 3 stones.

Anyway, if you wanna piss off JP players just bring up the atomic bombs.

PLD/NIN does fine in a 60 cap. Not my favorite but others seem to make it work.

Considering the norm of 60 caps is still hit and run anyway... NIN sub compliments that just fine.

Besides, he said he was curing and scoring like a good little ballista'er. If they're going to hate on him cause of his choice of sub job while doing his job, then fuck their opinion.

Besides i've seen a few JP show up as PLD/SAM, without the intention of doing 300% Spirits Within ganks, so their not exactly in a position to criticize

well any decent player with some good ballista know-how can make most any job combinations work in 60-no caps. But /nin is easily a low- tier sub for pld in a 60. Hell most subs suck in 60....

but if you were doing as swell as you say you were and jp were teasing you... if i had to pick a reason id say that was it.

and pld/sam is just plain fun dawg

And for 60, /NIN isn't exactly a low tier sub, it just caters to a playstyle that might not fit PLD as a whole (depending on your viewpoint i suppose.)
Some would argue that if you wanna play the hit + run game, WAR or THF or anything would be "better", but imo, a job that can do what other standard melee's do and take care of itself/teammates at the same time is good cookies in my book.

As for that PLD/SAM, well I sub WAR to matches, so when he tried to go toe to toe w/ me he failed miserably

Pld/Nin done right is an incredible offense/defense. It can stand in as a healer and dish out 400~600 damage vorpals with good gear.

Oman that made me giggle uncontrollably. I dont even know if i should take the time to break down why that is.

And tiers make sense because in a lot of situations you can't say combo x/y is better than combo y/z because Outcomes can depend on the player style and/or gear choices. + ballista is basically a strategic fighting game after all >_>
