Im currently 81.3 CC, and im planning on doing puk fletchings to 82. From there wamoura silk to 88 and wamoura cloth to 90. probably Giant bird fletchings to 93. I know at some point i know im going to do Dance Shoes to 98, but what should i do to fill the gap? i dont think i want to do a 5lvl gap, it is possible with the +2 from gear and support. After that what should i do from 98-100? Blessed Briault? Or would you guys suggest an alternate route? Im on the Ifrit server, just so you know.

I don't have high cloth so i can't reccomend any skillup items, but... I can say this 93+2+3 is an effective level of... 98. Your 5 level gap is not really a gap, you are at cap for it with synth support. I typically did go for 5 level gaps post 70 and with +2+3 it's the sweet spot in skillup so to speak, synths are still semi-hard so decent skillups but don't break super often due to having item and synth support +skills. It's not like you're talking about skillin 10 levels under lol.

hell in the 90's I was 94+3 +3 skilling on 100+ cap items at times. Granted it's not the best route so i did it sparingly (mostly upon request for signed flame rings etc) but... you are sweating nothing. Especially if you went for your veteran rank item, you could make a 98 or 99 cap item with ease.

Sure you might break a little bit more than if you skill 1 level under cap, but you are crafting for skill, not gil anyway right now right? I mean if you're going to lose money either way on a skillup, why not go for something that actually gives skillups tongue.gif instead of synth something that you get a .1 every 10 synths?

As for item advice, if you have the money to spend i would say just skillup on something that with all of your skill+ and synth support it throws you into tier 0 for the item which if i'm not mistaken you just have to be at item's skill cap, that way if you HQ you make bank... but those items are typically cursed items and net a big loss on NQ so again depends on your gil status.

Skilling up leather I've often jumped ten levels between synths - yes there are a few breaks even with adv. support, but it still costs less than trying to bridge the gap with a more expensive synth.

Agreed. I've gone as far as 12 levels between synths, not including Adv. support and +skill equipment. That's pushing it a bit far, though. If you go that far you won't get skill off the breaks and you'll hardly ever actually succeed. Nowadays I go 9-10 levels. Lots of breaks, but sometimes it's worth it, especially if what you're synthing actually sells or at least helps you to break somewhere near even.
