Yeah I'll just keep 2 setups handy, Ares/Parade when MP is low and Hauby+1/PCC/Ancient when it's not an issue.

Fixed that for you.

I don't see anything wrong with a Fort Torque, hitting the mob isn't nearly as hard (on PLD) as hitting for decent damage, so I'll gladly give up the small ACC bonus for the attack gain. (And on WAR, as if WAR needs more ACC lol)

I'm sure Buckethead has some parses of Tiamat, the only link I could find quickly was the one above.

From today's Khimaira:

Leta was meleeing fulltime(Apoc DRK, switched to Naglering and Spinning Slashed twice to satisfy my curiosity of its' damage vs Khimaira), Hess was meditating and weaponskilling with Sneak Attack. Oh, and Leta didn't have a BRD, so I most likely would have lost, and have lost to him before on Cerberus.

As for PCC/Ancient Vs Fort Torque, unless your accuracy is capped (almost never, I seldom cap accuracy even in full DD gear), or its helping you hit for more than 0 (very unlikely), PCC/Ancient Torque will win.

And Corrderio, its been a common practice of smart Paladins since shortly after Atonement was introduced. A Paladin's evasion is floored(20%) against things of that level regardless. Things like Haubergeon and Homam can only help you.

I say this is the best advice in this thread. I f*cking love using my HQ Haub... too bad my LS forbids me from wearing it ; ;

What are they going to do, kick you?

Personally, I'd tell them to shut the fuck up and let me play the job the way it should be played, but I'm pretty outspoken. There's always the more conservative, 'just do it, because they're not going to do anything about it' approach.

Your ignorance is borderline impressive. Anyone who truly believes a self-Phalanx is the reason Paladins sub Red Mage isn't worthy of my time. I won't even pretend to be humble for this bullshit, you're too god damned stupid to argue with.

Remember when you tried to call me an idiot over glorifying Excalibur, followed by every intelligent participant in the thread telling you how incredibly wrong you were? Spoiler: Its happening again.

My post was specifically about the survivability of /blu in supertank scenarios. Tell me what /rdm does over /blu in that situation. You dismissed the subjob and made a huge ass out of yourself (as usual) without addressing the actual point the person was trying to make. Regardless of whether /blu is a good idea or not, it was mentioned as a possible sub and is usable in some situations. You jumped somebody's ass for just saying it can be used, so learn to read dude.

I reiterate the tiny IRL-peen comment as well. You have some major personal issues if you seriously feel the need to act the way you do. What, are you 4'7"? Do people push you down on the playground? What exactly is it that makes you such a fucking intolerable ass? (don't claim it's because you're always right. some people manage that while staying decent human beings)

If you're that interested in my life outside of this forum, there's a link to my Myspace in my signature. I've actually been referred to on many an occasion as one of the most positive and inexplicably happy individuals people have ever met. But what can I say, twats who dive at any opportunity to jump my shit piss me the fuck off.

/whm - because the stingy un-allied campaign npcs won't give you free reraise.

/sam - cause skilling up staff/polearm/greatsword/parry is too slow but you just have to have everything in blue... and someone convinced you Seigan and Third Eye was a good idea.

/pup - you thought it was a good solo skill-up sub. Unfortunately, because you didn't equip the scanner, it wastes all its spell casts on casting failed poison, dia, and silence instead of curing you.

/brd - you threw together some sort of 5mp/tick set-up (vermy, parade, sanction/sigil, ballad) and become some sort of reverse summoner/whitemage (tons of refresh, crap base mp pool)

/bst - because skilling up a weapon on 60+ monsters is dangerous.

If you conducted yourself with a little courtesy people wouldn't treat you like a douche. I'd be confident saying that 75% or more of the posts i see from you are blatantly ass-tastic. I only jumped your ass because i'm tired of seeing the absolute shit you spew at people for simple things like asking questions or giving advice you don't 100% agree with. Somebody gave /blu advice and even though you agreed with the greater part of it, you still felt the need to be a complete dick about it.

Also, it'd be super nice of you to acknowledge the fact that your little rant about /rdm vs /blu (the reply to my post) was completely off base because you were in such a rush to flap around your little e-peen that you totally missed that i was talking about supertank situations. Thanks in advance, sweetheart~

Reply kingofjeuno's post above: yes /drk is pretty sweet hate generation. Stun makes as much hate as flash i'm pretty sure. That alone is like having a double hate tool. Add some of the other job abilities (souleater, last resort) and spells that make decent hate as well (sleep, bind, and maybe poison?) and pld/drk makes crazy hate at the cost of losing survivability compared to other subs.

retarded mega-hate eh? now i HAVE to see this

The only thing /war has going for it is provoke. If youre kiting warcry is moot as the VE it generates is small and minimal. Now lets look at provoke, the VE it generates is 1800 with a cool down timer of 30 seconds. There is no way around that cool down.

Now /drk, has a few abilities you can use that are actually useful. Souleater and last resort all offer 1300 VE each. These are on long timers though but can really pull hate when up and needed. Then theres stun. This will be your substitution for provoke. Having the ability to reduce its timer to 22 seconds making it available faster than a provoke is, on top of adding CE(CE is your friend) really good. You are only dropping 340 TE. Well guess what,poison(320VE) bind(640VE) bio(320VE) sleep(320CE/320VE) can all make that up. Sleep can make that up, and for the cost of a little more mp over the others add CE(remember thats good). Toss Sentinel up followed by some of these actions, and you can see why this is a very good sub to use for kiting or quick hate grabbing in dyna. Remember to cancel off souleater as its just used for the initual hate it grabs when activating. Basically spamming full hate asap for dyna NMs so that the melee can go all out on it and it dies very very fast, your shield skill, shield bash, Sentinel(if up), reprisal, etc etc are what keep you up during this barrage.

I didnt meantion flash because obviously its defaulted for a pld to use so both subs get access to it.

People still use /war because they are too scared to branch out and use other subs. Too comfortable with provoke imo. They provoke and see the mob turn , but dont understand how the game works. SE basically implemented ADD as the mobs AI.
PLD: /provoke
mob: oooh pretty circle colors
*provoke animation stops*
mob: where was I again, ah yes
*mob continues bashing blm*
mob :heathen!
