Su leik, lwas discussing some methods of zerging mobs with crazy high defense in the scenarios that you wouldn't be able to SC with yourself to do a lot of damage(no songs, feint etc.)

Yes, this was a tactic back in the day before we as a player base really figured out the mechanics of SAM. Like, when NA release happened.
Back in the days of SAM/WHM at Faffy and Nid.

This^ I used to have a Spirits setup for Genbu & such back in 2004/2005
Edit: And if you look really hard you an find my War/mage co-tank setup SOMEWHERE in the Archives of the War forums to go with the Sam/Whm's

I saw an LS kill aspid using only bards spamming spirits within as DD.
It was absurd. Of course, I think they fixed spirits now so you can't spam it anymore.

if you dig enough you might find an old thread i made showcasing my spirits setup. before i sold my spirits gear, i had my dmg up to about 1200. but, from what i understand, mobs now build a resistance to spirits, so even if you got 3k hp it would still suck. man, thats one thing i dont miss. SE nerfing all alternative methods of play. their way or gtfo.

It's not really "nerfed" per say.. it only lowers dmg by like 5~% per consecutive use methinks
