Well i was thinking to sell my Melody +1 earring and get 1-2 Nerd rings... is it a worth while trade or not really?

Are you that poor? Nereid Rings cost something like 20k over here on Alexander.

80-100k on odin, because odin on lock down we don't have the RMT to slap the prices in to the ground!!

Well, in that case, it'd help to have an idea of what other gear you have. I would postulate, though, that 3-6 Wind skill is going to far outweigh 2 CHR and, moreover, Wind skill helps buffs as well as debuffs.

You will use Nereid rings at 75. You will not however use Melody Earrings at 75 *hopefully*.
That should sum it up.

My armor is hardly bad.. far from it actual, i was just curious if it was a worthy trade off.. my Earrings are Musical and Loquacious, but i still had my melody's+1 in MH!

If you're using something else anyway do you really need to ask?
If Loq. is the best you have for a second earring I'd keep one of them, for when 2 chr might help land a debuff and speed of cast and recast wont matter.

That entirely depends on what you're doing. if you're landing Debuffs, slap on a Wind or Singing earring, same for doing buffs. if you're pulling with elegy you can keep the loq, but the 1% fast cast isn't exactly something to write home about. When it comes down to it, the +30 MP is the selling point for use on BRD/WHM (or /SCH, whatever you use)

Less time hitting your question mark key.
More time reading my entire post instead of hitting reply as soon as the first few words strike you funny.

I land debuffs without needing 2 extra CHR and my gear is, oh, about 40 miles from where I'd like it to be (insert standard rant about fucking Limbus).

Ermine's tail NM, even with double CHR song on me I don't land debuffs sometimes.
Sometimes landing threnodies and elegy is very 50/50 even with tuna sushi, full merits, HQ staves, and double CHR song.......
To each their own.
My gear is, too, far from where I would like it to be, but, I'm not going to measure the need for a few extra points of CHR against any one event, sometimes overwhelming is a much better policy than underwhelming.
imho.
Your experience with brd trumps mine, so, I really can't say that my money is where my mouth is, but that's neither here nor there, yet.

Try landing Requiem on anything. There comes a point where you just say, "Ok, I can't get this to stick." Trust me, I use Etudes, I try to apply Threnodies, but songs are practically built around a principle of "Either it's going to hit or it isn't."

I actually do land that occasionally, even on the mob in question. But I understand what you mean, I'm slowly building up a body of personal observation to support my typical shittalking.
It's so fucking annoying on mobs I'm trying to WAKE when it wont fucking land so that it'll come to camp.

I just cast Banish, personally. If you merit as /Ninja, grab some... uh, whatever the cheap-ass tool is for the ice spell.

This is actually a good idea. Thank you.
Shame brd doesn't have a random discussion thread.
Chakram for fast pulls? Was suggested to me by Sham.

I've had people mention using my Trollbane, but I honestly go the route an old acquaintance of mine taught me: cast Battlefield Elegy. It's not as much Slow as Carnage, but it's still some Slow, which helps more than a whiffed Chakram toss.

More for when you know your party is about to kill a bird and you need a new one at camp asap minus the whole HAY GUISE LOL REFLECT thing.

I've pulled constantly with Carnage Elegy on. It's about timing, ultimately, rather than recasts.

Aside from mobs that are naturally highly resistant to elegy (DI, Cerb, Khim for example) or immune (Sandworm comes to mind, though I'm sure there are others) you really shouldn't have an issue sticking elegy on anything. Anything that you're going to have trouble naturally landing elegy on you'll (probably) be /BLM anyway. As long as you're hitting above 110 CHR and have capped wind/singing you should be fine.
