Requiem is quite easy to stick with the Requiem Horn and Apollo's Staff. Not because I see a reason to use it in any areas other than Salvage...

QUOTE (nefarious.lover @ Mar 9 2009, 04:05 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Just need to finish Tier2. I'm debating if I want to 4/5 troub/night and 1/5 foe serv. and adv. req. or just 5/5 troub/night.

Honestly, I would go 5/5 just so Night/Trou keeps the same recast as ES making it easier to keep Elegy up on Cerb/Khim etc. There is little use for the enmity+ song unless for some bizarre reason you have 3 Brd's in the tank party because marchx2&balladx2 will help hate better, or even mad/min than a slower enmity decay.

Fair enough, good advice.

As for Requiem, I can land it on even greater colibri and shit, but, I can't land it even with SV on besieged mobs.

Requiem is just random as shit. Some days it lands fine, others you can't land it to save your life.

I'd love to see a documented case of someone landing it on a lamia in besieged... full merits, 2hour, and not landing it is just mind boggling. Next undead attack I might go /blm to test it.

Um... so I just checked the wiki page and apparently people claim that Soul Voice enhances song accuracy. Since I save my SP for buffing people rather than trying to get Requiem onto things (because Elegy and Lullaby land just fine on most targets), does anyone have actual confirmation of this?

I can say that I've never ever ever had a resist on a mob that I know a song can land on under SV.

I usually use SV when the shit hits the fan and I've got a dozen links.

I'll try to actually watch my resist rates and finds something that's insanely hard to land elegy on, and test a sample rate during SV v.s. normally.

How effective is Bard kiting (using Chocobo Mazurka and Requiems) for NMs compared to other jobs, or is it too dangerous (if Mazurka falls because you get hit) or slow to even attempt. I apologize if this is stupid, I don't play Bard, was just curious.

I wouldn't rely on it. Mazurka drops too easily and Bard has no other viable form of speed enhancement (Sprinter's Shoes have the same problem as Mazurka, obviously).

Requiem is kinda the oddball of all my debuffs. I think it sticks (on anything) less than ltng. threnody sticks on nidhogg with my lacking gearset/merits.

It is pretty random though. A bard in my shell was playing around one day and (much to everyone's surprise) stuck troubadour requiem on tiamat at 15% ftw. . .

Sounds like what Aiki would do. Too bad shells on Alexander are all(or almost all) too shitty to tank Tiamat on the ground.
