Since dancer does not rely on sneak attack, dex is not as important as it is to a thief. Attack/accuracy is definitely important so I recommend an assault jerkin as your body piece. Also, consider stacking CHR where you can. CHR is more of a modifier for dancing edge than dex is which is why, without any job abilities, a dancer's dancing edge is usually more powerful than a thief's (assuming no triple/double attacking taking place). I just got myself a wonderful earring for dancing edge - delta earring. This earring has dex+2 and chr+2, just awesome. As for the other ear, I have the option of either fenrir during the day (attack+10) or brutal earring (might cause a double attack making damage even higher). Love torque has dex, definitely get that since it also ups your dagger skill. For feet, I like heroic boots myself - str+2 chr+3. For legs, the AF is nice with CHR+3 and acc+3. Dancer's tiara has CHR+4 or you can push that to +6 with a panther mask+1. For rings I have been using rajas and ulthalam's ring. And do not forget to equip the highest base damage dagger you can find! I do not want to see a dancer doing dancing edge with a base damage 27 martial knife for the "accuracy."

Seriously, since you have probably already hit the mob a few times with quick step before you WS, accuracy is not as critical. Stack attack and charisma with just enough accuracy that you will land all the hits. STR and DEX are of course nice if they are coming along for the ride. Take belt for example, you might consider a potent belt if you need the accuracy (str+3 acc+8) but I prefer warwolf for the str+5 dex+5.

I did not mention enkidu gear because unfortunately I have yet to find a reliable ZNM group but you should look into that gear too. Mittens are str+4 dex+4 with accuracy 5.

By the way, you should carry your WS gear with you at all times. It is rare that you are healing so much you can't shoot off a dancing edge here and there.

Who said I full time an Etoile? You said if anyone disagrees you would discuss it, not argue...

DEX is most certainly important, regardless of weather you rely on sneak attack or not, just because someone has lved both jobs dosn't mean that there generalized statements are absolute facts. Dexterity by definition increases your rate and potential to critical hit. How bout you come up with your own opinions instead of quoting other people's entire posts.

You should have enough acc as should your melee in a merit pt that you would be using more Box Step and less Quick step. You only need to parse at 80% acc to be effective with a haste build. You can hit that easily with job traits, dagger skill, and sushi (shirmp,sole,tuna,crab are all good though I use meat too).

Dancer dosn't need more TP peices we have 3 multi purpose TP peices already, R.Harness for solely TP, SH for TP/Solo, and Etoile for TP/DD... If I did anything with a Mirke Waldecors it would be dropping it for a Redingnote for my Bard.

well i just wanted to add i decided to go with 10 acc 3 %dual wield for my body set up... its a lil of my rapree and scorp harness put into 1 which gives me +2 inventory space back
its a nice body piece and the +5 str +5 dex do boost the dd of your DE i am aiming to get endiku harness for ws but i think this body as is should be a good all around piece for till you get one. maybe laters i will drop and do something alil different with it but atm i am happy with it

There is a bit of fail floating around in this thread.

First off, Mirke Wardecors will basically trump just about any other body for TP when all things are considered, IF you go 10ACC/3DW.

For WS, 12.5 ACC beats Etoile' (HQ even) 12. 14 ATK isn't shit when compared to 9 Primary modifier points. So that pretty much shows you your WS piece for Pyrrhic Kleos. For Dancing Edge I'd say Etoile, if HQ, will take the cake, but not by much, versus something like Enkidu's or Antares.

For TP this thing will fucking destroy Rapp. seeing as how if you offhand a Joytoy, which you should, you will never not need large amounts of acc, and srsly, all that ACC, the 5 STR for fSTR and the 3% taken off of delay pretty much makes 4% taken off of delay obsolete.

Keep in mind that even with DW on it this thing rocks for PK. If you were to add the 10ATK or 2 DA then it's just get even better for WS, but that's not quite worth it.

IF you have DNC in mind for this body, and you want to get the absolute most out of it, in terms of dmg, add the 10 ACC and 3 DW and love your life.

On a side note, if you want to up your parses, as if you couldn't gather it from this post already, get Pyrrhic Kleos and spam that. When spammed, the near constant effect will always up your DPS, as will it the dmg of other people in your party, and extensive testing has shown it to be as strong if not stronger than Dancing Edge once you get some decent WS gear. Not to mention it still gives the same SC as Dancing Edge with Wild Flourish and is only 4 hits instead of 5 so ACC is slightly less of an issue.

The above post was very informative but I am still wondering for PK, does the relic af body's attack+12 still make it more powerful than Mirke's or does the 5 STR and 1 extra DEX still win out?

The mirke would still win in terms of having acc, DEX, and STR (especially if you went haub style with 10 acc 10 att) but I would only say a marginal win at best. But if you already have etoile, that will take care of your WS needs if your mirke could be used better on a different job.

Acc+10 and DW+3% is a great well-rounded choice because most of the jobs that can equip mirke can also benefit situationally from those augments. I used them for DNC and BLU (always outlotted on relic body ;; ), and could throw it on my retired THF if a friend ever asked for TH4 on an NM.
