90 times 500= 45 000
100 times 500 = 50 000

you could of easy seen where i messed up and pluged in the right numbers. when you want people to check your math its nice to show your thought process like i did since there is more then one way of getting an answer. you could of found your DPS for each then times it by 4 500 seconds for exmaple

Well, as a fully merited QD recast, you have 50 second recast on QD.
On grand wyrms, a competent Cor can pull 500ish damage every 50 seconds.

Now, take away 5 seconds, that's 45 second recast, 500 damage every 45 seconds.

In a 75 minute fight, doing 1 500 damage QD every 45 seconds, that's 50,000 damage.
In a 75 minute fight, doing 1 500 damage QD every 50 seconds, that's 45,000 damage.

Did I do that right? I failed math a lot in high school.

If it IS right (I think it is), that's a 5,000 damage gain in a 75 minute fight, from ONE piece.
500 is a conservative QD number on Tiamat for a serious QD Cor.

HQ staves, +43 MAB, Steel Bullets, Corsair's Gun +1, Corsair's Tricorne:
Quick Draw damage=401.

With Mirke Waldecores:
Quick Draw damage=412.

Over a 75 minute fight:
401*90=36,090 damage.

With Mirke Waldecores:
412*100=41,200 damage.

You'll gain an extra 5,110 damage over a 75 minute fight with Mirke Waldecores which is a huge difference.

Edit: fixed my maths, my excel formula was wrong. :x

Umm, either I'm getting wooshed somehow, or you completely didn't read anything in this thread. They are talking about COR/RDM, not BLM/RDM. MAB affects Quick Draw damage, INT does not.

I think most cors sub rdm so they aren't totally useless in the self-sufficiency realm (i.e. cures, stoneskin, etc).

But if you want absolute damage, you'd be going blm sub, yes.
